my friend and her bf are both 18, been dating barely a yr and are already planning out their lives and their wedding. they are also planning to get married out of college. i think they are too young to be getting married because marriage is a big thing to take on and she is her bf's first gf.

I think they should wait a little bit. Considering the fact that they are both only 18, a lot of things can change. They should wait until they experience a few years of college, open themselves to new ideas and etc. before making that choice. Because people can change in thier personalities and likes so it is early to be planning a wedding when you are only 18.

No, give it about 3 years. Then you both can be sure if the two of you are really compatable.

We dated from 15-18. Got married at 18. Been married 32 years.

it's very possible...it depends on how much time is in the relationship already. i was engaged after 5 months, but we aren't getting married until a year and a half after our first date. the difference in this shortness is that we have spent EVERY DAY together. we talk about everything and even though it was only 5 months, it felt like 5 years because of all the time we were able to spend together and get to know each other.

It really depends on the people, how old they are, how close they've become. Like if they spent that whole year 300 miles away from eachother and saw eachother like once a month, then NO! But yeah, I think it could be ok. They're just planning their wedding, they're not married yet.

Why Not?
My mom and dad dated a month before they got married. They have been together in a happy marriage ever since.

If they are in love and thats what they want to do then more power to them. It doesnt matter if they met 2 years ago or two weeks ago only the people in the realtionship know if they are ready to take it to that next level. Hey who are we to judge.
