Mariya, believe it or not, just helping to provide for yourself takes a load off a parent's plate. If you happen to be one of the multitude that smokes, by working and providing your own cigarettes, you free up those funds that they would normally spend on your behalf. Getting a part-time job and just buying a few of the small things, ie a package of toilet paper, toothpaste, laundry soap, you take some of the worries that your parents normally deal with. At seventeen, nobody expects you to try to shoulder the load and it isn't fair of you to expect it of yourself. Just take care of YOU, and you are helping to support your family.Everything else is just a bonus!! Good Luck!!

If you can get a job, babysit or do anything of that sort, that's definately a good way to start. You can also help out a lot by doing household work, like laundry and cooking, grocery shopping, ect. and try cutting back on expenses. Most importantly, just be there for your family and let them know that you love them. Good luck!

Be supportive and caring to your family. A family best appreciates your love and compassion towards them. Be cooperative and help them in small ways, random acts of kindness.

Go to temp employment agencies. Sign up with all of them. They will find you employment immediately. As you work for one of them for a while, they will offer you full-time employment. That is how employers today find employees. Start out temp, then hire full-time.
Forget the fast food restaurants, waste of time.
During the evenings, go to college or trade school so you can move up in your employer. My wife and I both did this taking 1 class per semester. Took us quite a while, but we both moved up at our jobs afterwards. We both got married at age 18.
Hope this helps

Show moral support. Be there for them when they need you. Dont be so selfish because teens often neglect to show support to their parents. Best thing for you to do is... Talk To Them. Ask what you can do to help. Put yourself out there and you'll see how much of a burden you lift off from their shoulders. :-)... keep them smiling.

At 17, I was working a full time job, still in school, and was in band. I helped cook and clean when i was home, did my own laundry, didn't ask for money even though my boyfriend at the time was taking all my money except what i needed for gas (cause I drove his lazy *** everywhere cause he didn't have a car). there's ways to help, even though its small.

Make a flyer to pass out to neighbors stating that you will do odd jobs and leave a number where you can be reached.

You can get a job during the summer to help out with money. You could also help out around the house which will help your parents out if they are both working. If you have siblings you could help out with them - which will also help your parents out.
