Naw, just kidding.. A really good kibble is Canidae All Stages kibble. You can get it at most pet supplies. If they don't have Canidae, Innova, Solid Gold, Wysong, Wellness are all good choices. they are made from human grade ingredients.

All dogs & puppies should be fed a good quality food. Stay away from foods such as Dog Chow, Pedigree, Kibbles & Bits, Alpo, Science Diet, IAMS, etc..these foods all contain way too much corn and by products. Foods containing corn, wheat or soy are high allergy causing foods. Plus dogs need meat protein not grains...they aren't goats. Corn, wheat are hard for dogs to digest so therefore they need to eat more of it in order to get the nutrition they need..more in more out in waste. Also the cheaper foods also contain unnecassary sugars and preservatives. Some even contain dyes.

Look for a good food such as Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Innova, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, Premium edge, Tirumph, Merrick, Wysong, Natural Balance

If you want a good dog food (since he/she is 10 months old they don't really need puppy food any longer) try Canadae. It's extremely healthy and not too much more expensive as the crap food. Purina, IAMS, and even science diet are not very good brands of food. Things to look for: ALWAYS look at the first ingredients on the bag, the food will contain most of what is listed first and second. For example if beef, chicken or liver is listed first, chances are the food is alright but if corn meal or any by product is listed first, second or third it's not good food. Another rule of thumb is: If you can buy your dog food somewhere that you can buy your groceries, clothing and medicine (ei walmart, kmart, ect...) all in one store, it isn't a good idea to purchase the food. Try going to petsmart or a local pet shop as they are more likely to carry the better brands. Good luck.....

I fed my pitbulls puppy food until they were 1. They loved diamond for puppies but at about 9 months it wasn't carried any longer in my area so i switched to puppy chow per my vet. They did fine on this and it was a less impact on my expenses.

i own pits and if you want a strong dog that will live a full life then feed it pedigree puppy chow till about 18 months then switch to pedigree adult food....but mix the adult with the puppy to gradually get it used to the new diet or it will get diareah. do the same if changing from old brand to new.

And get it a large beef bone at walmart or ?? to build up those jaw muscles. And a lot of tennis balls....lol

how bout puppy chow or maybe iams? they have a lamb and rice formula that is very gentle on the tummy. I have a chow with stomach issues and trust me gentle food is good food. If you want to give him a really awesome treat boil hamburger and rice and give that to him. It's perfect for an upset tummy and feels like he's getting rewarded. Who doesn't want a treat when they feel bad?
he's still a puppy! love him like a big ol baby and you'll have on of the greatest dogs ever!

The best thing to feed any cat or dog is raw chicken. They won't get sick. It's what their systems need. They ate this stuff in the wild and their immune systems haven't change a whole lot. Their digestive systems haven't either. My dog likes it heated for about 15 sec. She's a real picky creature, but at least she's healthy.

Science diet products, Purina products, and Hill's products are great foods. these companies spend millions of dollars on research and have Vets. that work and consult on food ingredients for them. Your pet is almost considered an adult canine, by Vet. standards at 1yr he is listed as adult on your file. Puppy foods have high fat contents in them so you should consider switching him to an adult food, but do this slowly by putting half of the puppy food and half of the new food in his bowl and each day reduce the amount of old food and increase the amount of new food. Switching him to quickly will cause diarrhea.

I would stay away, if you could... from feeding canned food and stick with good old DRY food for a puppy.... it is still a puppy. I would prefer science diet, purina ONE and /or Eukineuba.. or a mixture of all three.
