Put the mail in you inbox. Click on it and then hit the delete button. It will go ito your trash can.
Once in a while, you should go to your trash can
and click on it to bring all of the items up. Then
check them all and hit delete again and you will
have an empty trash can. Just like bulk mail;
at the bottom you can click on all of them and
then hit delete and 25 messages disappear.
If you have never emptied your trash can, you could find a hundred or more messages in there. It's a waste of good useable space!

just dont go to that account anymore, and eventually Yahoo will delete it for you. It might take a month or two, but as long as you no longer sign into that account, it should be taken care of

When you sign into your account, up the top it says sign out, my account. Click on my account and it'll say change user name. Then you can have a new email address and erase the old one.

Yahoo checks emails and will eliminate those that are dormant for a certain period of time automatically.
