Good question. I haven't been an audiophile (sp) for many years now but you don't want to be to cheap though. MTX is OUT though. Be sure u get big magnet as they can handle more power. Be sure u put a low pass filter on your subs so No music comes out of them & only bass. & 15'' will be deeper than say 12''

I don't know if they're the best bargain, but I use Sony Xplod.
