lots of options. i take it u dont know this girl very well, so here are some suggestions.
a coffee table color book (really nice)
money (checks in multiples of 18 dollars)
hair stuff
if u know her pretty well, go with some jewlery.
nice clothes (silk scarves, for a boy (i know its a bat mitzvah not a bar) a necktie, etc.)

I would say a check, a lot of people give money. I disagree with people that say to get her something religious. After all that studying she might be sick of all the religious stuff and if she isn't, she can still use money to buy something religious.
