a mutt from the shelter, they have the lowest survival rate because of shelters and all most people want is their purebred, they dont have as many genetic weaknesses and if they have been abused once they get to trust you they are better pets because they know that not all people are nice

This depends on what I am doing. My German Shorthair is best for country walks, she loves to run and sniff out everything. My greyhound the calmest dog and is by far the friendliest if someone comes over, she smiles. My minature pincher is best if you are messing around inside the house and want to play or if you are feeling sick and want a cuddle in bed. Sometimes dogs are better than people, mine ALWAYS make me smile even on the worst day.

A long time ago, I would have said something small and furry, but ever since I got Obey, my pit bull, at 4 weeks of age, I would have to say a pit bull. They are the most loyal and loving dogs I have ever encountered. Their number one need is love. He has been treated with respect and love since he came to my home, and he has proven over and over again that pit bulls are not mean and vicious.
