Cannon of the Bible was not OFFICIAL until it was closed in 405 A.D. by Pope Innocent I. Nicea had nothing to do with the Cannon of the Bible. The Bible became the Bible when the Pope closed the Cannon.

Fr_Chuck: Nicea was not a synod, it was the first euceminical council recognized by the whole Church. The Cannon was established by Church councils. The Bishop of Rome closed the Cannon. He was the leader in the west and the east accepted his decision. The bishop of Rome was always given prominence. There wasn't a problem with his authority until centuries later.

The First (<<<--- key word) Ecumenical Council of the Universal church was convened in 325 CE (ad) by Roman Emperor Constantine.

The bible was invented at that council because the council adopted the Nicene Creed and anything that disagreed with that creed was rejected, including Arianism.

The claim that Constantine had no influence on the invention of the Christian bible is ridiculous. He authorized and supervised the council that invented the Jesus is God myth.

The Pope was not the head of the entire christian church at that time, he was just one Bishop of many. The church of the east did not ever accept his position as head of the church.

So the synod at Nicea when they did their final vote that was the church rule at that point, the Bishop fo Rome had his vote as did other Bishops.

If the church of Rome took an official stance on the council of Nicea at another time, it had not official bearing on the official and binding ruline of the council of Nicea.

This division finally 600 years latter caused the split.

The Roman Catholic Church (leaders) were corrupt day one. Its very foundation was built on lies, deception and a quest for power hijacking Christianity and basically claiming itself as the New Testament Church.

Do you seriously think many people care what any Pope said, did? -other than hope and pray to God they didn't kill them in the name of the Pope. The Roman Catholic Church killed more real Christians as heretics than any Emperor of Rome ever did. They killed true Christians as a threat, they killed non believers who would not convert.., and we wont even bring up the witch accusations.

So keep your Pope. I'll keep my Jesus - who is the only one I have to answer to or confess to.

Do you think Jesus was reading false writings? How about all the Apostles? Would Jesus allow this? The Bible was around long before Catholicism! The first Christians including God on earth was Jewish. Their use of Old testament writings were crucial, I think they had the right ones, don't you? I encourage you to study more on Jewish History.
