Depending on his/her body size (whether or not she is proportionate), she may be on the small size...but if she seems filled out ok, and her skin doesn't stay pulled up when you gently take the skin of her back between your fingers and pull it slightly, then I would say she's ok. If her skin DOES stay up, it is a sign of dehydration, and she will need to see a vet.

If a breeder sold her to you at six weeks of age, then shame on them! Puppies should not be sent to new homes until they are eight weeks of age. She will need booster shots, and hopefully your breeder gave you a copy of all of the shots she has had, and de-wormings.

They are terrific, loving dogs...enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

funny we have a shitzu pup thats 8weeks, your probably about right around a pound or so. ours is probably 2-21/2 or so.
