How come there's only one earth? Is just like we exist for some purpose. There's no planet like earth (Gravity, earth, water etc).

No one knows...yet. Give it time, like a few billion years.

Perhaps this is better asked in the Religion and Spirituality category, since you mention "some purpose" for earth.

Planet Earth seems to be the only planet in the universe capable of any sort of sophisticated life. The combination of size and atmosphere alone is not natural - we're bigger than Venus, and should have a similarly thick, dense atmosphere, but we don't. That combination enables sunlight to reach the surface, and allows plants to grow.

Other planets (Mars, for example) have barely survivable conditions, but not enough to really grow and thrive.

This, along with many other factors, makes earth a rare planet.

A rather complicated list of all the astronomical factors required for life on earth is listed in the link below.

well, there is no other planet named "earth" for obvious reasons, but all objects in the world have gravity. Europa, a moon of Jupiter, is encrusted with ice, and possibly has liquid water underneath.

And we know almost nothing about the universe. Many people belive that there may be other planets with the same ideal conditions that earth has, including prominient scientests, philosophers, and Scientologists who star in blockbuster movies but know nothing, not to name names. And we can't forget Stephen King fans.

Also, World Weekly, my most trusted news source, reports (seriously) that hell has been found on Mars. Stick that in your back pocket. But hey, they're more reliable than Fox.

A unique planet in the solar system. it the only planet NAMED earth. But you are most likely talking about anopther planet similar to Earth. There are no known planets like Earth, but there might be some like Earth that we have not discovered.

Astronomers have detected many planets in other solar systems......maybe there is another Earth out there.

Here is some info from the Hubble Space Telescope website on the subject for you:

In reality, there are probably dozens of Earths, but we can't see them. What are the chances that we are the only planet that has life In the Universe. I study Astronomy and there are billions of planet. We are not alone.

you don't know that for a fact. No one does. We live in one branch of the galaxy the milky way, and we can't even figure out how to reach pluto. If scientists can't figure that out, or explain black holes to you, then they shouldnt ramble on when they hardly know what they're talking about.
There could be life on another planet, becuase there's the rest of the Milky way to explore and outside of it, there are tons more galaxies.

But even if there is, what would you do with it, go and waste another planet just as we're doing with this one.

Well, that could be considered more of a philosophical question than an educational one. There's no way to prove an answer to that.
