You did not say whether this is a puppy or an adult dog. When we get rescues in that are adults, they often do not eat for a day or two. Their whole world just got changed on them and it is every upsetting to them. If you are feeding a good quality food, then do not change it. He will start to eat when he is ready.

try adding the iams puppy gravy over it,I had the same problem when I first brought my boston terrier home, she ate it then and I gradually added less and less each day and she was fine after that,if this does not work switch to a different food but don't keep changing the foods that's bad for the digestive system of the puppy. Good luck :)

How old is he? If he is young he may be a little depressed from being taken away from his litter mates and mother. Try a bit of chicen brooth or just leave it for him. He will eat. You may want to have a vet check him out to make sure he was not sick when you got him. But if its just a bit of seperation and depression he will snap out of it as he starts to bond with you. And he will eat

I would ensure the food contains "human quality" ingredients. Another trick is to not offer food till after exercise, (better make sure there is water available half way through).
