Relieved, relaxed, less prone to depression, and actually happy; it's been ten years since I recognized that I'm an atheist, and I'm more convinced than ever that this was the right thing to do. The only thing to do, in fact.

How in the world could you be happy you're an aithiest???????? Do you not understand that GOD created you? He sent His Son to die for you? He loves you more than anything? He knows your thoughts and deeds? He wants you to accept Him in your heart? He is willing to forgive all your sins if you just ask Him into your heart?
Please read this!
Genisis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
John 1:1-5 - In the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 - But God commended [gave] His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God loves you and I hope that you will turn away from your belief that there is no God, which is a lie, to the truth that God is real and alpowerful! I hope I see you in Heaven some day, but you'll have to accept Christ before you can get into Heaven!

Well I always thought I was an atheist until I came here to Yahoo! Answers and read so many thoughtful answers from theists.
For example, did you know that all atheists lie when they say that they don't believe in God? Also, did you know that atheism doesn't exist because you have to believe in God to deny his existence? Also, did you know that all atheists cry out to God or recant when on their deathbed or in times of crisis? Also that all atheists choose not to believe in God so that they can excuse themselves for the hedonistic lifestyles they live?
You didn't know these things? Well, neither did I until I came here to this forum of truth and enlightenment. Thank God for Yahoo! Answers, through which we've all found out the real truth.
So stop claiming to be an atheist! You know full well that you're just as much of a theist as I am. Everybody is! I once was lost but now I'm found.

anyone who doesn't believe in jesus christ, god, or the holy spirit is an athiest.
do you believe in heaven & hell?
remember that you can't enter into the kingdom but thru the son which is jesus christ. you need to ask god for forgiveness, repent of your sins & ask jesus christ to come into your heart as your personal lord & saviour. if you don't it says that you can't enter into the kingdom of heaven by your beliefs & good works only.
satan is a liar & will get you to doubt the bible & not believe.
remember: you're not promised tomorrow. life's like a vapor, here today & gone tomorrow. we're not promised life, so i'd take a good look at your heart & life b/4 it's too late.
either get right, or get left... those are the only 2 choices you have in life. make the right choice. while you still can & are alive.
hells the last place anyone would or should ever be/go. there is a real heaven & there's also a real hell. choose?

cbright99: If the Great Ravening Monster God is the one that really exists, rather than your god, then you should be afraid... very afraid... because you'll end up burning forever in his version of Hell for believing in the wrong god, whereas he doesn't mind us atheists, 'cos at least we didn't opt for the competition - He lets all atheists into his heaven to look down and pity you Christians in eternal torment. Sorry to give you the bad news.

I am an atheist, and proud of it. And to all of those religious people out there saying that we'll burn in hell: "The wages of sin is death," simply means that sinners (atheists included) will simply not have eternal life. So please, do me a favor and know your religion, and also play by your own rules.

and to you biblethumpers,(and don't tell me you ain't a bible-thumper...you are answering the question 'who is an atheist?' with threats of damnation) you do realize that threatening atheists with hell is about as convincing as trying to get us to believe in Santa with the threat of coal in the 'ol stocking, right?
We don't believe that a magic old dude with a big white beard is making a list and checking it twice, so we had better be good.
and we don't believe in Santa, either.

If you don't believe in Jesus you will when he sends your soul to the lake of fire in the last days, Everyone who has died before us has believed if they were an atheist. When you die good luck to you.
