There is no god. It's a sad day when someone writes off suffering, pain and death as their god's plan.

God doesn't "plan" horrible events. Every event, no matter how horrible, is part of a larger plan/purpose and has a deeper meaning. You can't look at an event & only recognize the "horrible" elements. You have to realize that every event, every happening, no matter how horrible, is a necessary event. We, as mere humans, may not understand how a horrible thing like a rape or murder could possibly bring about any necessary change. However, often times a senseless act of evil is the catalyst for positive change. Always, with bad, there is good. We are here to learn from each other, to experience the human emotions- even the pain & suffering, for each event, good or bad, is both, for every event contains balance & is necessary for human spiritual growth. What dosen't kill us makes us stronger.
Think about a family who goes through a death, violent or not, it's still a traumatic loss. People experience great pain & suffering during these times, but other things happen as well that can be interpreted as nothing but positive. So, a family experiences a death & because of this, family members come closer together, find a new sense of love & appreciation for those loved ones they still have with them on this earth. People appreciate life more & are more aware of how blessed they really are.
Humans make a terrible mistake when they make the assumption that they, as mortal beings, could possibly even fathom what God even is, much less his intentions for this world & human beings. We are of the Divine, but we ourselves are not Divine, and therefore we can only make educated guesses on the nature of the Divine (God). Yet, we should never make the pompous assumption that we could explain or understand events. Remember the true victims are the families and friends, not the victim of the crime. For the victim (murdered, for example), is now with the Divine or in the spiritual realm, where there is no pain or suffering-those are emotions of the earthly realm.
Do not stress over these types of questions. And remember that everything is in balance & has a deeper purpose.

God DOESN'T plan our lives at all. You see Satan was VERY smart when he challenged God in Heaven. He didn't challenge God to a fight, he would have lost even with ALL the angels behind him, he didn't put up a popularity contest, he would have lost and even if he won, it wouldn't have mattered, God STILL HAD THE RIGHT TO RULE. So according to the Bible he did the one and only thing that would give him time, he challenged GOD'S RIGHT TO RULE. God has given man almost 6 thousand years to try EVERY form of government imaginable, communism, matriarcy, theocracy, fascism, democracy, republic, on and on . . . the list is near endless, just to prove to the angels watching that HIS way is right. However, had he just destroyed Satan, any murmuring in Earth or Heaven would have never been 'answerable' throughout eternity. By allowing man to fail and live in a short span (6,000 years or so of history) trying various forms of self government and always failing, he proves his point.
Its one of those 'why do bad things happen to good people' questions. Because life in this world sucks right now, it always has and will until the end of this old world : ))

Even though God has a specific plan for which we came to this earth, an integral part of that plan is something called Agency or Free Will. This Agency is what allows us to make decisions and act on those decisions on our own. This allows us to gain experience based on the decisions we make and the actions we undertake. Even though commandments were given and laws are made in order to help guide us in the proper use of this Agency, not all men use it wisely, or properly. Some use it for good, others use it for evil. God will seldom interfere with our Agency, because He knows that part of our growth comes from our experiences - both positive and negative. He understands more than ourselves that this life is only a moment when compared to eternity, and allows suffering to occur to serve a much greater purpose in our eternal progression. He knows that death is merely a doorway between this life and the next, and that much greater things await us in the next life if we make right choices and take advantage of opportunities for growth in this life. Think of this life as a school. We go to school to learn. Our parents can help us and encourage us, but how much and what we learn is up to us. At times, there is much difficulty, sometimes even failure, but if we persist and appy ourselves, the result will be that we will have greater opportunities after graduation. Think of death as our graduation from this life, and think of the trials of this life as the tests. If we succeed, the rewards will be great.

God has a plan for our life, but we all have free will. He allows evil in the world. We are not robots in which God moves us around. We decide what to do for ourselves. Some people do evil things because God allows people to choose good or evil. He watches over the universe but lets most things happen. We will never know why he allows different things to happen. He's God, so he can do anything.

God didn't plan these things to happen to anybody. Satan is the one to blame for all these sins. Christians every day fall into Satan's snare and only if they truely have faith in Christ they can overcome. Yes there's sickness, sadness and sometimes death. But out of the ashes will rise something wonderful and true. Take for instant a co-worker of mine about three years ago her 19 year old son was killed in a motocyle accident and God used it totally for good -over 100 teenagers including his own brother became believers in Christ. Two days before his death he told his mom I wish God would use my life to witness to my brother and he did through his death and his eternal life in JESUS!
Your searching is a start in finding the truth, please find a Bible Believing church and talk to the preacher, if your a youth join a church youth group. Because Christians can fun too. and still follow the path of righteousness.
God Bless and I hope this answers your question.

Your perspective is that God is behind everything good or bad. Ultimately, bad things are the result of sin. God gave us rules, but in the end, the decisions all come down to us. And for those that decide to rape, kidnap, kill...it is all the decision of that person. God always provides a road to forgiveness for our sins and will love us for eternity...but even that is our choice to accept.

He gives Christians trials(problems) in their lives to make them stronger and make them lean on Him more. God is love. He doesn't just make people get raped for the fun of it. Sin or Satan gets you into that. I'm a Christian and I love God. God loves me too. He has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for sinners like me and you.
Life isn't fair to any one. I've been a Christian since I was 5. I love God. Well, in 2004, God decided He wanted my dad in Heaven with Him. So, He took his life. This loss of my best friend has just brought me closer to God. God knew that would happen.
My best friend was raped my her grandfather when she was little. This also brought her closer to God and her family. God gave her the strength to keep living for Him, and FORGIVE her grandpa! Now, she serves the Lord in her church and lives a relatively happy life.
I have tons of other stories I could tell you, but you might get bored hearing all the bad circumstances that had great endings in people's lives!
God is love! I hope this answers your question!

God, according to the bible gave man
"free will" to do as we want and account
for our actions through-out our live at the
"pearly gates". God has not planned anything
good or bad for us. It is up to every individual
to decide whether to rape some one, steal,
cheat, lie, etc. or be a person of good character!
It is to easy to blame everything on GOD!
Then we don't have to take responsibility
for our actions.

The answer would be different depending on your religious beliefs. I was taught that the evil in the world is caused by Satan, not God. We are free to make our own choices, good or bad. So the people committing the crimes choose to cause harm to others. It is also considered a test of faith.

God knows everything that will ever happen and he knows what each of us will choose to do, but he doesn't force bad things on us. We all have the agency and ability to choose our actions and when someone chooses to do a bad thing, like kidnap or rape someone, then the victim suffers because of that person's choice, not because God made it happen.
