it's called a pentagram, and it is used in satanic worship. It's used for many things, but mostly for chanting and things like that, they place candles at each point of the star and one witch, or satanist or whomever sits in front of each of the candles, and they chant into the candles for different things. At least that how I remember it. And no, I'm not a satanist, I'm 100% Christian. Jesus Christ is my Lord, but I did some research on it once, although that was years ago, so I could have some of the details wrong. Don't quote me.

It's a pentagram. The star represents Spirt, Earth, Air, Fire, Water. The circle around it means that the elements of the Earth are never ending.

It's called a pentagram. It represents the 5 elements. It is a sacred symbol in the Wicca religion, where the adherents are called Witches or Wiccan. They are not Satanists. Satanists are actually a different religion who does not believe in a satan at all. Wicca is an earth-based religion. And No, I'm not wiccan or a satanist.

In ancient symbology, it used to be considered a sacred pentacle with a rich background to it... I'm sure that you will get reactions from those in the know here.
But over time, just like the swaztika that was used by the Third Reich, the significance of the Pentacle has become the "logo" of the Evil One.
Peace be with you!

All I know for sure is that it's a religion sign, and it's not used to worship God. I think it's to worship the devil.
