Most children don't feel that way about there step-mom. I know I didn't appreciate my until several years after I moved out. You should get her a nice card that tells her how you feel, or write her a little note, or just sit her down and tell her. Maybe even talk to your Dad about it, he would be the most help because he would really like for you two to have a good relationship.

Just talk to her and tell her how you feel. You telling her how much you love her and appreciate her will make her feel great. If she is grumpy try to nicely ask her why she is upset, and let her know that you are there for her - the same way that she is always there for you.

That is great that you love her.
I say sit her down and talk to her about your feelings. let her know how you feel about her, but that you don't feel like she is acknowledging your feelings.

Maybe she doesnt know how to show her feelings that well.. or maybe she has a medical problem that keeps her from showing you. She could be depressed.
Does she have other kids? If not, maybe she isn't sure how to interact with you that well. She could have had a horrible past that you remind her off for some reason or another.(maybe you look like a friend that she had a falling out with) It could be any number of things.

Maybe a nice sit down or lunch out will get her to open up.

Good Luck!

It so nice of you that you are showing your love even if the person you love is grumpy. Be yourself and things will be better. May be write a card to ur step mom to let her know how much she means to you or simply that you love her.

communication is the key. you never know, maybe she's having problems and could use someone to talk to, and who knows maybe you might just be it. parents are people too, they go through the same problems as young people, just a little bit more magnified. you might have problems with friends at school, she might have problems with coworkers at the office.

you need to tell her how you feel. let her know that you're there for her if she need you and that you want to be her friend, and that you love her and are grateful for her in your life.

i don't know if this is your case, but sometimes step parents can be resentful towards stepchildren, because you remind them of their spouses ex, or you're not their biological child. but that can be worked through and things can be made right.

first thing first you need to talk and find out what is bothering her or why she is having this type of reaction towards you.

i hope you resolve this hun. no adult should ever overlook the love of a child. it's more fulfilling and more rewarding than any love you'll ever know, trust me i speak from experience. remind her of that for me...

Let her my grumpy and when she is just ignore it some people have a hard time saying thank you. You just do whatever she asks as fast as possible and eventually she will start to appreciate what you have done.

Not everyone can be happy ever day. Ignore her and that she is grumpy all the time. She choose to be that way and it is not up to you to change her. It is a waste of your time and energy to perk her up. It is too draining on you. You are fun, you worry about yourself . She is old and will never change.
