they dont even focus on God! they focus on the messenger and even go so far as to overthrow God for Jesus.

I don't know what God wants but I do know how best to be a good person.I think that should really be the basis of faith.Not books and preachers.

Unfortunately people invented Gods to give explanations to the things they did not understand. Gods are a beautiful way to make people united in harmony; but this harmony is corrupted by Fanatics who interprete those words written by humans in a text called the Bible as mere true. They think they know everything because you have not read the whole thing or perhaps you are not a fanatic. There are people who will die for their god and others who will kill for it. Some others pretend to "Love eachothers" but hate their neighbor or a person that is from another country. There are even those who say: "The bible says it all" but if you dare to ask them where exactly, i bet most of them wont find it right away. God is the father, Jesus is the son, and there is a holy spirit; now, when did Jesus become God????
If Jesus was the mesiah, was not He supposed to save the jews? Someone remembers Adolf Hittler? Where was the mesiah? It's been more than 2000 years; Where is he then?
Lately some of the "lost gospels" have been made public; gospels that say that Judas did not betray Jesus. I believe Jesus had it all planned. But i can also especulate just like Christian people do. Why some Christian priests have been accused of rape and child molesting? Are those the soldiers of god? Religion Wont save you. It is the way you treat your brothers and sisters, your fellows and everything around you. Live and let live.

We don't. But we communicate directly with God through prayer. He hears our prayers and answers them according to His will and timing. Yes, we focus on God, it's called worship. I'm not sure what you mean by, 'overthrow God for Jesus' but if you mean, make God out to be Jesus, He is! God and Jesus are the same person. It's called the Trinity. Three-in-One. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Only one true God, just in three persons. Trust me, I'm a Christian and I don't understand how the Trinity works, but I don't doubt that it's there becuase when you're a Christian, God shows you things and talks to you and it's an awesome relationship. But please don't assume you know all about Christianity if you aren't a Christian at all.

People who assume they know what God wants (other than His 10 Commandments obeyed) are quite arrogant!!!
You are right in saying that God is not mentioned too much in the Bible. Jesus is God the Son, so people cannot overthrow God the Father for God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit.

christians become wrapped up in "knowing" god that they think they can speak on his behalf simply by reading a book that was authored by numerous unnamed people and editted countless times. If christians truly believe the bible is the word of god then why were some books left out? It's a fact that several books, one relating to Jesus' childhood, were deliberately left out. I've known people so delusional about the bible that they think Jesus and God are the same people. I would say everything in moderation but I'm sure christians know nothing about that and I'm sure I'll go to hell for even mentioning it.

God tells us through dreams, visions, and our conscience's. How do you know we don't focus on God? FYI, God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three person's, one body. The Trinity. Three in One. The Bible is the word of God. God used people as utensils to write the Bible. Your questins is confusing, but I hoped I answered some of your questions.

First things first. Why do we assume we know what God wants, this one is easy, we have the Scriptures, and they are a record of who God is, how He feels, what He thinks about sin, how He loves, how He made the world, how He can even love us, how He puts up with man, the Scriptures tell us how to live a good life of love, peace, patience, it very clearly shows us how God is, and what He stands for. His ways are higher than our ways, and if we truly love Him, we want what He wants.
We have not overthrown God for Jesus. The Scriptures say that God sent His Son. God tried many ways to reach man, and finally knew the best way was to send Jesus to communicate to us. We love Jesus, and the Scriptures say that if we accept Jesus and His teachings we have God, if we do not, if we reject Jesus, then we reject God. Jesus died for us, and this is serious to God. We love Jesus for what He did, and he points the way to the Father. We love them both, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. hope this helps some...........

Your question shows just how much you do not and have not studied you Bible. Most Christians do not worship God, you are right they don't, but some of us do, and the New Testament is too about God. Read it for your self, it's all about God, His call for us to return to the worship of God, Threw Jesus. It has always been worship God threw Jesus.

How did you learn that 2 + 2 equaled 4?
You were not born with that knowledge, yet it was here before you were born. It is not going to equal anything else is it? And furthermore, somebody had to teach you over and over until you finally had that light bulb come on. Then you were like, "Oh, I see! 2 fingers + 2 fingers = 4 fingers. 2 apples + 2 apples = 4 apples.
I bet your mother could tell you stories you can't remember about the day you started learning to count and discovering math.
I bet you were very excited!
The bible says, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."
(How many times did you just read the word "hearing"?)
You read it two times and went back and counted it two times..... see what I am showing you?
Just like finally "getting" math. As you hear more of the Good News that your sins are forgiven and you already have peace with God.. (you just have to receive it through faith in Jesus.) your light bulb moment will happen in your spirit and what sounds like foolishness today about Jesus, will cause you to one day ask yourself, "why did I wait so long to believe?"

The New Testament is all about God. Jesus was not a mere messenger...Jesus is God incarnate and the New Testament tells us of His life and times and we are to be His followers. I do not assume anything about God except the Truth He has revealed to us. Jesus is God.

I'm a Christian and I don't know exactly what God wants for my life. However, I do know that He has a plan for me and that If I try to be like Him, all my wants will come true because all I will want will be what God wants. I want to know what God wants for me, but I will have to wait until HE decides to show me His will for my life. I don't try "to overthrow God for Jesus", because They are both One in the same. It is impossible to overthrow someone for them self!
