Most people do, for the obvious reason that getting to know other cultures makes it so much easier to understand the people we meet from other cultures. A few people take it too far though.

i feel it's very important to get to know about other cultures. especially since in a century or so, ethnicities will be so assimilated that there'd be no point for racism, although i'm sure that won't stop racism, because ignorance, unfortunately will always be a part of society.
i'm hispanic and have a very rich culture. i feel that it's important to know about my own culture and pass that on to my child, how ever i believe it's also important to know about other cultures.
from knowledge comes understanding, from understanding comes acceptance and from acceptance comes respect.
i think if people just tried to respect other peoples way of life, the world would be a place i wouldn't be so afraid of raising my son in...

I think it's useful to know about other people's cultures, it's just as useful as knowing different languages...because with cultures knowing what to say or do when one greets another could be useful....It's fun to learn about other cultures because then that might answer questions that an encyclopedia couldn't or that a dictionary couldn't explain...

I like that idea. But, I think once you've grown to a certain point in one culture that it is difficult to get to know another. And, if you want to learn another culture's language that you had best start to learn very young.

I think it would help to squash fears of other cultures. This is the biggest reason for racism, ignorance.

I'd be surprised if anybody said that we shouldn't!
That's the beauty of the world - so many different people, languages, food, ways of life to discover and experience!
