If this is the first time this has happened, it most likely is the food. A sudden change in diet can play havoc on cats' systems.

If this has happened before, talk to your vet, it may be a parasite. Which would need medication.

I'm sorry to hear that. If this is the first time your cat has been introduced to this brand of cat food, it could be due to that playing some role on her digestive system. But if you've always fed her this particular brand, I would lean toward a bacterial infection. There are countless species of bacteria that cause explosive diarrhea in humans, such as giardia. If your cat consumed fecal contaminated food or water, she could have taken in the cysts which lead to symptoms such as explosive diarrhea....If this were my cat, I'd phone a vet for an appointment, and in the meantime keep careful observations so you can accurately describe your cat's condition to the vet...I hope all goes well.

It could be an allergic reaction. I have a cat that I have fed Fancy Feast before, and nothing like that as ever happened to her. I would try talking to a vet and not feeding her any Fancy Feast or any other wet foods until you find out what's wrong.

I think what did it was the sudden change in food. I think they recommend doing 80% old, 20% new...then 50% of each, then 80% new, 20% old until the cat's digestive system can get used to it.

Need to change the diet. If its older they need a different food than younger cats.

did you try a new catfood? ditch the moist can food and give her some dry food.
