something, is that something dieing? hard to convince old people of anything, you gotta prove them wrong but let them discover it where they can save face. and you had better be right. like lets say you were arguing (discussing) what time at night a movie was on, instead of getting right up in their face, you get a TV guide open it to the page and leave it where they will find it. they will find it for sure, and they may even apologize. good luck.

Be honest with them and explain to them exactly what you are talking about. If they are old fashioned or set in their ways, they may not agree with you - but as long as you were honest and gave them all the facts that pretty much all you can do. If there is a way for you to actually show them physically what you are talking about you might have a better chance at them believing you. When people see things with their own eyes it's easier for them to believe it.

If you can reason the thing based on truths we can be convinced. Otherwise our wisdom from years of experience will tell us that logically we have the right to our opinion and logically you have to find out your wrong, just like we did at that age.

Think of what you have learned in your lifetime. Think of what you will have lived and learned by the time you are 80 years old. Don't you think you have a lot of knowledge stored up???

The question is are you right or are they. Look at their side of the argument. There has to be a reason that they are so concrete on their answer.
