"Biography
Baldwin was born in Massapequa, Long Island, New York to an Irish American Catholic family with distant French roots. Daniel was divorced from Cheryl Baldwin with whom he had a daughter by the name of Kahlea who was born in 1985, and actress Elizabeth Baldwin (1990 - 1996) with whom he had two daughters. He is presently married to actress Isabella Hofmann, and they have one child, a son by the name of Atticus who was born on 13 July 1996. Atticus was named after the character in Daniel's favorite movie To Kill a Mockingbird from [1962].[1]

Besides his three famous actor brothers, Alec, Stephen, and William, Daniel has a sister named Jane Sasso and a sister named Elizabeth Keuchler. He is also the cousin of actor Joseph Baldwin. TV Appearances
From 1993 to 1995, Daniel Baldwin was a regular on the cast of the television series Homicide: Life on the Street. His wife, Isabella Hofmann, also acted in the series.

In 2005, Baldwin was featured in VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, a reality show in which overweight celebrities compete to see who can shed the most pounds. Baldwin is the team captain of "The Eastsiders," which also features rapper Biz Markie, plus-size model Mia Tyler, and actor Joe Gannascoli (or, in Biz's words, "Joe Scanoli"). Baldwin leads his team by example, and is known for devising crafty schemes to sabotage the weight-loss efforts of the members of the opposing team, "Ralphie's Angels", later "the FB'" captained by Judge Mablean Ephriam from Divorce Court, later Ralphie May.

Baldwin's own health habits are the subject of much debate. On the show, Baldwin claims to have "been sober now for a number of years," but rumors persist that he was spotted severely inebriated in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as recently as last year. Whilst on Fit Club Baldwin became addicted to painkilles and later walked in late to the 6th weigh-in under the influnce a fact he later admitted to three months after the recording of the final weigh-in he failed to attend.[2] and he was arrested on cocaine charges on April 28, 2006.

Baldwin has also recently starred in the science fiction/mystery series Anonymous Rex, based on the novels of Eric Garcia.

Trivia
Daniel Baldwin spent two weeks in Anacapa by the Sea in mid-early 1994, for a problem with cocaine.

Daniel was admitted to a hospital in "critical condition" after he was found in his hotel room suffering from a suspected drugs overdose on 2 February 1998

Daniel refused to appear on Saturday Night Live with his brothers for a Family Feud sketch. He was replaced by Tim Meadows, who was "the cousin" [3].

Police sources tell that Daniel was arrested on April 22, 2006, after cops received a call that a woman had been threatened at the Ocean Park Motel in Santa Monica [4]. Entertainment media site TMZ reports that police uncovered cocaine and arrested two men, one of which was Daniel Baldwin. Bail was set at $10,000."
