I'm a female and I wonder the same thing.How can they sit there and gossip about other people when they have problems of their own.Its just more drama on top of more drama.No need for all of that.Life is to precious to spend your time talking about others when you do the same as them.If you should figure why women gossip so much?Let me know.

1-Some women feel they need to tell someone the latest news;they don't have anything to talk about, and its an awkward moment.2- Some women need to gossip because they need to have the attention in order to feel liked and loved.

I am a woman and feel the same way you do... most women believe they have to have drama in there every day life all the time! If there not talking about someone there not happy

Good for you, it's because they are insecure, that's always the reason to bash someone behind their backs, or gossip to hurt others so that you feel superior, I know it's really frickin ridiculous, women can be so catty... girls like that give us "mature" girls a bad name.

i think gossiping is a learned behavior, i'm a women and i tend not to be as gossipy as most others i know, however my husband, now there's a man that always wants to know the latest dish on EVERYTHING...
but i think like most every other socialogical behavior, gossiping is learned from our elders, your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc...

I agree with you my dear. Gossiping is for whom I call, "girls who are still stuck in high school." I don't like gossiping either. That's why I don't associate myself with those who does.
