It sort of depends on the TV and what you're watching. Here are a few pointers to help you out.
1.) Unhook everything and just plug in your DVD player to the unit via the RGB Component (described in the owners manual). If its still "fuzzy" get a power line conditioner. You can find them at http://www.monstercables.com
If it looks clear you more than likely a bad cable signal.
2.) Next step is to take is if you hook the cable back up and it still looks fuzzy get a Jensen Ground Isolator. http://www.dtvcity.com/access/jensen-vrd1ff.html
That should clear up the signal. If it doesn't call your cable company to come out and replace the cable box.
Good luck

Because you're watching standard definition tv programming. Put a clean signal in, like from a DVD player, or from a PC. The LCD display is very clean, so it shows the crap in the standard signals.

Check the cable connections. If possible, use A/V cables. They provide better pic quality/sound. It's sounds like the cables you are using now are bad.
Hope this Helps!
