Depends, I meet my boyfriend (now husband) on the Internet. We where friends for a year and a half then started dating. We dated for 3 years and lived 2 hours apart the whole time. I was still in High School so we saw each other on weekends. After I Graduated he went off and Joined the Air Force. When he came back from boot camp we got married and moved to Mississippi that was the first time we actually lived together we now are in Okinawa japan. We have been married for a year and a half and its been great. But I think the Internet has gotten worse. So if you are still young I would be careful. Make sure its a good guy and not some guy who has a lot of other online g/f's. If all he talks about is sex and stuff like that then I would say he is not the right guy. Good luck!

I sure wouldn't start with a private type date (i. e. just the 2 of you in a secluded place). I might try it by going to an amusement park where you meet there, a large open restaurant, the zoo, a park picnic where there will be many other people, or something similar. People can and do lie a lot on the internet. There is no assurance that you will meet a person you've seen via e-cam or that the person is who they say they are (age wise or character wise). If you are going to date a person you met on the internet be careful.

I don't think it is. People can type whatever they want on the Internet to seem like a good person. Some of them may be honest. But there are also sexual predators and other psychos on the Internet as well. You'll never know until you are alone with that person. Be alert.

If you are lucky enough to meet someone you like on the internet, why not! Just remember, many people hide behind the text and aren't always who they say they are.

You have to really be careful cuz there is alot of perverts out there. I would suggest meeting someone face to face instead of on the internet that way you know exactly who you are talking to.

Only if you keep it on the net! The chances of meeting your dream man on line are not worth the risk of meeting your nightmares.
Please take care of yourself,
