I disagree with djx_master. We don't worship ourselves. His answer is a classic one of closed mindedness. Christians are taught to believe in one way & one way only. I grew up Roman Catholic & know that all too well. I also knew that Catholocism wasn't for me. I had questions that no priest or other clergy member could answer. So, I struck out on my own, spending time with Baptists & non-denominational Christians. As for my Christian friends, I found some helpful information on the source below. Witchvox has a lot of information on Wicca, Pagans, Shamans, etc. What I did for awhile was put together a little leaflet that had information about Wicca & other Earth based religions to hand out. I don't have the leaflet anymore due to a now gone virus. I'd be happy to help you put one together if you'd like.
Also, I'd like to add that Wiccans DO believe in an afterlife. It's called Summerland. It's similar to the Heaven that other religions teach about. We believe in re-incarnation, rebirth & all that. We don't believe in Satan or the Devil. The pentacle represents Spirit, Earth, Air, Fire, Water. When it has a circle around it, it's called a pentagram, which symbolizes that the elements are never ending. We believe in a Goddess AND a God. Our holidays are similar to Christian ones. Ostara is like Easter, complete with eggs, bunnies, lambs, chicks, candy, etc. Yule is Christmas. We give presents, decorate a Yule tree & sing songs. Our new year is Halloween, October 31st. Some Wiccans celebrate both mundane & Wiccan/Pagan holidays. I do. I will for the rest of my life.

Most people fear what they don't know about. It's alot easier for people to just follow the crowd, instead of actually doing a little research to find out what something is really about. Being a Catholic myself, I always thought that Wiccans worshiped the devil too, until I spoke with a Wiccan and actually did some research on Wicca. Wicca has also been around longer, alot longer than Christianity as well. Christians were the ones that gave Wicca the devil-worshiper stereo-type in order to try and bring all worshipers to Christianity in order to prevent war. As we all know Religion is used to start wars, more than any other reason. I say go about your beliefs and don't let other peoples' ignorance have a bearing on what you worship.

I think a lot of Christians don't understand what Wicca truly entails. They often think something like this: wicca = witchcraft = devil. The prejudice comes from ignorance.
Now, some Christians (and I'm about to get flamed for this I'm sure) will say that if you do not accept Christ as your one and only Lord, you are automatically in league with Satan. People who think like this are probably not going to change their minds no matter how much information on Wicca they get because they are working off a basic principle that is a different starting ground than that of Wicca.
Don't worry, not all Christians think Wiccans are devil worshippers. I know I don't.

First off everyone should be allowed to worship and believe what they bevieve. Your beliefs may work for you but please don't force them on me or anyone else.
From books I've read in the past and some history stuff I've found online. In the beginnings of Christianity and the Church, Paganism was the dominate religion in the world.
Paganism (from Latin paganus, meaning "a country dweller" or "civilian") is a blanket term which has come to connote a broad set of spiritual or religious beliefs and practices of natural or polytheistic religions.
Or otherwise the belief in Mother Nature and Father Sky (per say.)
The early church attemped to bring pagan followers to Christianity by assimulating pagan holidays for one into Christian Holidays. Was Jesus really born the 25th of December?
Things that the Church couldn't assimulate became "the way of the Devil," if you didn't worship as a Christian well then it had to be devil-worship.
Knowledge it power.

I think some religious groups have become more of a social group then a worshiping group. It seems that some Christians want to have the opportunity to reject others as a way to feel stronger and better. Not all Christians are this way!!! But it seems that the "holy" people are the first to JUDGE! And its like what the heck do any of us know anyway!??! we make the best choices with what we know and feel.
Any worship that is nature worship is WONDERFUL! Nature is the purest, most innocent and wonderful thing that we have around us!!! Nature is the one thing we have no control over... and this in itself is worth recognizing.
:)
To each their own ...

Wiccan is a form of Idolatry (which is a sin)...
"Idolatry" is when something/someone becomes more important than worshipping God, or inhibits someone from giving God the full worship he deserves...
You just said: Wiccans worship nature...nature is "created"...It's not the 'creator.' (God is the 'creator'.)
To explain how does that tie in with devil-worshipping:
- Christians believe all 'sin' (idolatry included) is of the devil.
- Christians also believe that anything not of God, is automatically of Satan...
I know from previous discussions that Wiccans refuse to acknowledge the existance of Satan, which is why they find this concept so hard to grasp...but that being besides the point:
**Satan is real...and he is a deceiver/liar...He has Wiccans fooled into thinking they're not offending God, by their worship...but the Bible tells us otherwise.
In the OT it tells us: We are not to have any other gods before Him...(directly referring to idolatry). In the NT it tells us there is ONLY one way to Heaven - through JESUS...we can't reach Heaven through 'moral living', 'good deeds alone' or 'white magic'...or through the 'solemn peace of nature'...or anything else OUTSIDE of Christian teaching.
There's alot to explain and I couldn't possibably address all of it right here.
Thank you for asking your question though.

Because you are on either god's side or the devil's side. So if you worship nature that kind of puts you into a sort of paradox effect. Because god made nature you are indirectly worshipping god, but because you aren't directly worshipping god, you are also indirectly worshipping satan. But, since you can only worshipp god or satan you are in some kind of weird grey area. So I say you practice your religion and I'll practice mine. As long as you don't try to cast a spell on me, I'm cool with it.

I am a Christian. I have a cousin who is Wiccan. I don't, and most other Christians don't, think of you as a devil-worshipper. Some may, but most would just love to see you come to know Christ. I will be praying for you.

There are only two options, God or Satan, whom do you worship.?? If it is not Father/Son/Holy Spirit then it is the devil..
You are living in denial thinking other things.. Wicca forever has been know as devil worship and today you want to change it???
