There is 2 ways to spell it. In the US, we spell it color. In England, they spell it colour. It is the description you give to an object in terms of how it looks. Color or colour (see spelling differences) is the perception of the frequency (or wavelength) of light, and can be compared to how pitch (or a musical note) is the perception of the frequency or wavelength of sound.

COLOUR - is simply the British spelling (and Canadian) of color. The meaning is the same for both spellings - I shall leave you to that search.

I think the "our" in certain words - was just to difficult for you YANKS - hence it was dropped in "favour" of the simpler spelling "or" ;)

Take note people.. basically, colour and color .. same SHet. it is what you prefer to use.. but colour is originally from Britain. Not Canaduh!

Although there are many differences here are a few more you'll undoubtedly come across....

COLOUR = color
CENTRE = center
FLAVOUR = flavor
ORGANISATION= organization

and ZED is ZEE
