Would it be the US president, the queen...or someone like Bin Laden, because we can't find him? The Secret service are trained for years, whereas Bin Ladens protectors are just devout supporters. These are just a few ideas. Does anyone know of someone who has better protection than these examples? Where does the pope get his protection from?

The President of the United States has the best trained security detail on the planet.

The Pope is protected by the Swiss Guard.

bin Laden can hide and is probably well protected, but I think we should look at the Middle East Presidents, Prime Ministers and Kings. They are rarely ever left alone. Still, their greatest threat comes more from within their own government. A low paying bodyguard can be bribed. Do you think the Dalai Lama is better protected than the Pope?

Osama Bin Laden, he's in friendly territory in lawless land, that no one can get to unless they are part of the tribes which control the regions in which he hides. He will only be caught if he makes a mistake and leaves his shelter, or if someone has enough "balls" to invade the land in which he resides. And no one can inflitrate the lands in which he hides b/c they don't have the compacity to covertly operate within the tribal communities. The US cannot invade due to current politics. He's essentially untouchable as long as he stays in these areas.

The pope is protected by the Swiss Guard.

As far as best protected, it can't be the US president...there have been too many successful assasinations (as well as unsuccessful attempts, like the grenade lobbed at Bush overseas).

My guess is Fidel Castro. Notwithstanding all of the CIA's attempts on his life, it doesn't seem like they even got close.

The pope gets his protection from the locals when he's on tour. In the Vatican, he's got a little army.

I would agree that the US president is the most protected person.

You will never find the person who has the best security on them. Why? Because if you did, they wouldn't have the best security now would they?
