Does it matter to them that I used to be a born again Christian, until driven away for my believe in evolution,

Does it matter to them that I have a good paying job,

Does it matter that I read books about the Bible and the Qu'ran,

Does it matter to them that I have a Bachelor's degree,

Does it matter to them that I voted for George Bush once, (wasn't fooled twice),

Why does the theist only read the word atheist, and assume such things as I wouldn't care about human autrocities,
that I wouldn't stop a gang from dumping gasoline on another woman,
that I wouldn't stop a band of thugs from stoneing a woman,

why do they read atheist and assume I have no feelings,
why do they assume I am not worthy of being human,

when did the theist get such a stereotype of an atheist as these on yahoo answers today,

Why do you have to choose between a belief in God, and a belief in evolution. I see you always posting on the religion section, obviously searching for something. Just because you believe in evolution does not mean you cannot believe in God. Many religions, including some Christian sects believe they are not necessarily in conflict. Having read the Bible you know already that the creation follows the same basic order as what evolutionists claim, the only difference is the time involved. As far as I understand the Hebrew word translated to days in the Bible really is a designation of an unspecified amount of time, as such the world may have taken millions of years to create. I have always been taught that science teaches us how we were created, and religion teaches us why. The two are not in conflict, just answering different questions. Do not give up your faith in everything just because some denominations see too great a conflict between science and religion. Obviously with all the questions you post you must have some feelings for religion. Please contact me and we can continue this conversation offline.

Why do you lump all theists together?
Does it matter to YOU that I used to have no faith because I thought that evolution and Christianity were exclusive?

Does it matter to you that I have a good paying job? That I have read the Koran? That I have a doctorate? That I voted for Bush also just once?

I am sorry if anyone has made assumptions about you. We are both guilty of it.

You sound like an interesting person.

Being an atheist does not mean you are a bad man, doesn't mean you are a good man either as a good man is a GODLY man.
I do not judge you because you are who you are. If you once embraced Christianity then you already know. I am so so sorry you have lost the joy of your salvation.
Wish I could just give you a hug and remind you that Jesus really knows all about it and payday comes.
It matters to HIM about you! do not get the world mixed up w/Him.
You REALLY do not care what so called "theist" say, do you? I believe you are smarter than that....now, don't get me started on evolution....haha

Because they are not Perfect either. The subject is like Football's old concept: The best offense is a strong defense. ALL of us want to be RIGHT. No one wants to "lose".

Try substituting the word "err" for the word "sin", and perhaps you can be kinder to "them" than they have the ability to be to you and your place of "awareness". Certainly we evolve, I've a concept of evolution based on the theory that God gave us all the knowledge there is, but we only get it one grain of sand at a time. Most of the time we have to trip over the same grain of sand several times before we see the knowledge of it, the purpose behind it and the impact it has upon Tomorrow.
Whomever the concept of God is named by, we still need to be the caretakers of this baby blue planet, all the creatures that exist upon it, and the becoming aware experiences that each and every ONE of us share in this Life together.
Please try to forgive the zealousness of believers, they just feel to WIN they need to Defend by Offending what they are unable to comprehend or understand. Faith is a process, it is not an end or a goal. I've greater difficulty accepting the inhumanity of Humans, than the Faith required to believe in a Higher Being.
Christ likely said it best when He said "The soul is willing but the flesh is weak."

As a Christian myself, no one should judge you because of your beliefs...that's not very Christian of them. I think a lot of them have this reasoning that if you don't believe in a God, what makes you believe in morals? i know a lot of atheists more giving and Christ-like then many Christians (isn't that sad, on the christians part?) I apologize for their misdeeds, it's terrible to hear such things especially when they are representing Christ...
They often forget that they need to be nice, even to those who have different beliefs because everyone is equal, and everyone (in my beliefs) is a child of Christ..Shame on them...Just keep being you

You see now your doing the same as they are sterotyping.
I am a Christian Pastor and while I may not, and don't, agree with the stance of an atheist I defend their right to make that choice.
I'm also intelligent enough to know that many are upstanding citizens that contribute greatly to the better good of this country.

They think you're a fool because you apparently don't believe in their god. I'm a Wiccan and one of my Catholic friends stubbornly thinks it's devil-worship and is worried about me. You shouldn't worry about what the theists say and remember that when they answer you like you're a fool, they're the fools.

They associate atheism with communism
(Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba)
or extreme environmentalism.

Atheism should be about freedom.
Agnostics do not care what other people believe so they are about freedom.

why do you care? you have made up your mind on your own and that is a good thing.

i pray that you will one day come to know Jesus Christ as you personal lord and Savior, however i don't have the right to tell you how to live your life, my lord tell me not even to judge myself.

i am sure about my god, you are sure that there is no god, let there be peace.
