12:3
And there appeared another wonder in heaven: and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns, and seven crows upon his heads.
Notes= Is this what you get out of it?
Their was a war in heaven = wonder in heaven
great red dragon = satan the devil
having 7 heads = seven deadly sins
having 10 horns - 10 commandmant of Jesus Christ
havning seven crowns upon his heads = the 7 churches in Revelation 1?
Is this corrected, and if not will you explain why? or how?

No. Not entirely correct. You got the "red dragon" part right, but not the rest.
The war that took place in heaven was Satan's (Lucifer's) rebellion.
The seven heads are thought to be seven of Satan's chief lieutenants, and the ten horns are representative of the ten kingdoms that will come to be after the Rapture has occured. The earth will be divided into ten different regions in a new world order.
My translation uses "diadems" instead of "crowns" for the last part. I'll get back to you on that one.

One thing at a time:
Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
This is the interpretation of "Family Bible Notes":
Re 12:3
A great red dragon; the pagan Roman empire, considered as the agent of the devil, and animated with his spirit. Red or purple was the distinguishing color of the Roman emperors, as it has since been of the popes and cardinals. Seven heads; explained in chap Re 17:9, to mean the seven hills of Rome and her seven kings; that is, as commonly interpreted, the seven forms of government which prevailed in Rome. See note to chap Re 17:9.
Ten horns; the ten kingdoms into which the Roman empire was ultimately divided. See Da 7:24, where the Roman empire is represented by the same general symbol. Seven crowns upon his heads; not, as afterwards, upon his horns. The Roman empire is always represented in prophecy in its whole duration. But the seven crowns upon its heads indicate that the seat of empire is yet in Rome; not, as afterwards, in the ten kingdoms which rise out of the old empire. Compare chap Re 13:1, where the crowns are on the horns, and the explanation of the angel, chap Re 17:12.
This is the interpretation according to "The Peoples New Testament Commentary:
Re 12:3
Behold a great red dragon. Another wonder is seen, also in the sky, a great serpent-like figure, red, with seven heads and ten horns. This figure, we learn from Re 12:9, is a devilish manifestation. The devil uses it for his purposes. The red color implies a persecuting power.
Having seven heads and ten horns. The seven heads are explained in Re 17:9, where the seven-headed beast appears again, to be seven mountains, and also seven kingdoms; the ten horns are there said to be ten kingdoms which did not yet exist. We have also this monster appearing substantially in Da 7:7. I will discuss it more particularly in chapter 17 [Cmt. on Re 17:12], but will here say that there is little doubt that it represents the persecuting powers of the earth which have opposed God and his Israel; the great world powers arrayed against God. This world power appears as Pagan Rome in the persecution of the Woman; the Church. The dragon was the standard of Pagan Rome in the third century, as testified by many ancient writers.

The dragon does signify Satan this is true, but numbers in the bible always have a meaning 7 signify completeness,10 denotes fullness, entirety, when 7 & 10 are use together the 10 & 7 are used together the 10 represents something of a subordinate nature. The 10 horns represent the 10 world powers that have ruled up till our time. We live now under that 10th horn the Anglo-American World Power.

it's representative of Satan's rebellion against God before being cast out of heaven. I'm not sure what the seven head and crowns represent (not the "deadly sins" as those were invented by Dante later, not Biblically). I doubt the horns represent the ten commandments (given by God the Father to Moses, not Jesus btw).

It remains a mystery among many others that have yet to unfold for us. And I have heard many variations about this particular verse including this:
Wonder in heaven = great blasphemy to God
Great Red Dragon = Rome + Devil alliance [church]
Seven Heads = seven hills of Rome; or seven rulers
Ten Horns = 10 commandments, their version
Seven Crowns = seven deadly sins, their version
Need I say more??
Peace be with you...

Very much of The Book Of Revelation is allegory that mentions things that happened in the past and things that were about to happen in the upcoming Roman persecution. It was not till a conference at Niagara Falls in the 1870's that fundamentalists started showing up.

I don't have an answer but use the Bible to interpret the Bible. The 7 deadly sins are not of of the bible and the 10 commandments are not given by Jesus.

Really why people don't understand the word is because they don't let the holy spirit guide them(2Peter 1:21). Also if you want wisdom; you have to ask God(James 1:5). The Bible always interpets itself(Isaiah 28:9-10).
Actually there was a war in heaven(Rev.12:7).
Your answers are Revealed!
Great Red Dragon = satan the devil.(Rev.12:9)
Heads= kings or kingdoms (Rev.17:9)
Horns = kingdoms (Rev.17:12)
Crowns= kings (Rev.13:1)---7 crowns are 7 kings (Rev.17:10)
Rev.13:18 "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
It tells you exactly who the beast is: from the clues in the Bible.
(REV.13:18) on the Pope's Crown (tiara) are these letters: VICARIUS FILII DEI; what do they signify? OUR SUNDAY VISITOR, (CATHOLIC WEEKLY) BUREAU OF INFORMATION," HUNTINGTON, IND., APRIL 18, 1915.
ROMAN NUMERALS FOR THESE LETTERS ARE: V=5; I=1; C=100; X=10; U=5; D=500; L=50 = THEY ADD UP TO 666.
*Now we have alot of information about the beast; to start out with; we should find out (2THESS.2:4) "who claims to be God" and is "worshipped"?
Let's see; this church (Rev.17:9)"sits on 7 hills" in Rome.
It wears (REV.17:4)"purple and scarlet".
It is a (REV.17:5)"mother church", so it has daughters or other churches following her.
It will think (DAN.7:25)"to change times and laws." GENERAL CATHOLIC CATECHISM
It even has casted "all the truth to the ground" = Dan.8:12
"All the world has followed it" = Rev.13:12-15
*It had a(REV.13:1-3)deadly wound that was healed.
THE CATHOLIC ADVOCATE (AUSTRALIA), APRIL 18,1929.
FRONT PG. OF S.F. CHRONICLE WITH HEADLINE "HEAL WOUND OF MANY YEARS"; FEB.12,1929)
Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
http://community.webshots.com/photo/2715...
*Daniel 2:32,38; 7:4; 3:1 "Head of Gold" = Lion = Babylon = King Nebuchadnezzar
*Daniel 2:32: 7:5: 5:25-28; 6:28; 8:20 "Breast and Arms of Silver" = Bear = Medo-Persia = King Darius & Cyrus
*Daniel 2:32; 7:6: 8:21 "Belly and thighs of brass" = Leopard = Greece = Alexander the Great
*Daniel 2:33; 7:7,8,24,25: 8:9,12 "Legs of Iron" = Dreadful Beast = Rome
*Daniel 2:33 "Feet part of iron and part of clay" = Divided Empire
**Now the 10 horns represents kings or kingdoms and 1 comes up among the them and destroys (DANIEL 7:8,23,24)three. THE 10 HORNS ARE POLITICAL: ANGLO-SAXONS, FRANKS, ALAMMI, OSTROGOTHS, LOMBARD, SUEVI, BURGUNDIANS, VISIGOTHS, VANDALS, HERULI, AND THEN A LITTLE HORN COMES UPON THE SCENE THAT IS RELIGIOUS-POLITICAL THAT HAS DESTROYED THE HERULI, VANDALS AND OSTROGOTHS. NOW DETERMINING WHO THE HORN IS: A.C. FLICK, THE RISE OF THE MEDIAEVAL CHURCH. (PUTNAM'S 1909 ED.)PP.148-149.
*FROM ALL THE CLUES; WE KNOW IT'S THE ROMAN EMPIRE (REV.17:4; COMPARE TO MATT.27:28 AND MARK 15:17
The Anti-Christ
http://community.webshots.com/photo/2715...
The Mark of the beast is 666! To accept the beast's mark is to not accept God's Holy Sabbath Day Saturday as Working on the Sabbath.
ACTUALLY THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS WHAT PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND! IT'S VERY SIMPLE REALLY; YOU HAVE TO DO THE OPPOSITE OF IT.
THE OPPOSITE OF THE MARK IS THE "SEAL OF GOD" WHICH IS IN THE 4TH COMMANDMENT(EXOD.20:8-11; REV.14:7). NOW LOOK WHAT REV.7:2-3 SAYS "AND I SAW ANOTHER ANGEL ASCENDING FROM THE EAST, HAVING THE SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD: AND HE CRIED WITH A LOUD VOICE TO THE FOUR ANGELS, TO WHOM IT WAS GIVEN TO HURT THE EARTH AND THE SEA. SAYING, HURT NOT THE EARTH, NEITHER THE SEA, NOR THE TREES, TILL WE HAVE SEALED THE SERVANTS OF OUR GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS."
SO IF YOU KEEP SATURDAY HOLY(JN.4:22-24) AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST FAITH; YOU WILL HAVE THE(REV.14:12) "SEAL OF GOD".
BUT IF YOU DON'T KEEP HIS DAY(MARK) AND FOLLOW THE CATHOLIC CHURCH(IMAGE); HE WILL GIVE YOU THIS(REV.14:9-11).
The Image of the Beast:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/3703...
Rev.17:10 "the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." This was fulfilled on television when the Papacy said, "that Benedict would be pope for a short time".
REALLY HIS IMAGE IS GOING TO COME ALIVE! WHEN HE PUTS CHURCH AND STATE TOGETHER. HERE'S JUST A PIECE OF IT IN--"POPE'S DREAM OF HEALING CHRISTIAN RIFT STILL A DISTANT GLIMMER" IN ENTERPRISE RECORD DATED: SUNDAY JUNE 12, 2005.
TO BE SUCH MEANS "AND THE BEAST WAS TAKEN, AND WITH HIM THE FALSE PROPHET THAT WROUGHT MIRACLES BEFORE HIM, WITH WHICH HE DECEIVED THEM THAT HAD RECEIVED THE MARK OF THE BEAST, AND THEM THAT WORSHIPPED HIS IMAGE. THESE BOTH WERE CAST ALIVE INTO A LAKE OF FIRE BURNING WITH BRIMSTONE."--REV.19:20
THE SYSTEM IS MADE UP OF:
TRUE CHRISTIANITY VS. FALSE CHRISTIANITY
FOLLOWING JESUS(COL.2:6) OR NOT FOLLOWING JESUS(PHIL.2:21).
THE CHOICE IS YOURS!
