How about a tropical theme? You could paint the walls a pale aqua blue. Buy a crisp white bed cover. Use colors for pillows that are lime green, orange, yellow. Maybe even do an oversized tropical flower on the wall. Get some bamboo beaded curtains.

Don't do a theme. As you grow older you will get tired of it. Something that always looks good is stripes. If you strip your wall in some contrasting colors of different widths it looks neat. Try things like blue and orange or yellow and violet. Cheep rugs and accessories are good too. You can usually find those at Ikea or Target. If you get a lamp redo the shade. Little things like that do wonders.

celeb themes and animal themes are stupid. do something that you wont get tired of. try going to www.urbanoutfitters.com and clicking on the apartment stuff. they have some cool murals that you put on your wall, personally i like the vegas one, but decide for yourself. they have lots of stuff there, and its really cool. as for the color scheme, go with a bright color (mine is bubblegum pink walls and radioactive green trim and ceiling) then put pics of ur favorite hot guys all over at least one wall. making a collage out of it. you can change it anytime you dont like a guy anymore, or if you find new ones. make sure you put some retro movie posters up too. this is a cheap way to make your room chic and fun, and be envied by all your friends!!!!

What are your tastes? Flowers, a certain combo of colors, Retro, Modern, Classical? What are you into? School, band, music, art? Pull from what you love and go with it. Be bold and try something new. Can't really help though unless know what you like and are into. Good luck

I'm painting my room yellow, putting wood flooring in, putting up a chair rail on the wall, and that's it. Painting it and getting a new bedspread can do A LOT for a room.

I say, go for zebra! If you get a black & white zebra print on paper, you can photo copy it onto clear sheets (like for an overhead projector)...then project it onto the walls and trace it with a pencil...paint in the black where it goes, leaving the rest white.

think about what your fav color then look at you floor then say you like blue and you carpeting is red try to match it with something that will go then acsent it with your fave color and just be creative go to old thrift store and fine stuff thier for fraction and re paint it etc
