Me and my kids want to do something for their dad. We are in a tight budget right now. Any ideas of what we can do for him to make him feel special?

Make him a coupon book for things that he likes...for instance coupon for his favorite dinner to be made, his favorite cookies, wash his car, play his favorite game, breakfast in bed....

You can color them, make them look official by putting "Not available with other offers.", or Instead of using a brand name like Hallmark say these coupons were made by using your last name and putting mark at the end like Smith-mark. Use your imagination and go wild!

I have done this before and the person LOVED them. Good Luck, he will get something great and will feel loved with whatever you decide to do for him. :)

Have the kids make him a coupon book for chores they will do for him, like taking out the garbage or washing his car or mowing the lawn. (It should be things that he normally does but they are capable of doing.) He will get a kick out of it, and they will have fun decorating the coupons. My brother made one for my Mother and I once, and we both still have them. I can't bring myself to redeem them though, because the drawings are so cute!

Ask a family member to take the kids for the evening, and cook him a nice dinner. Then you can give him a massage, and let the rest of the evening go where it will. You have to eat anyway, and hopefully you have friends or family who will take the kids for free.

breakfast in bed; have the kids each tell their Dad one thing he does for each of them that make them feel special; write your husband a letter telling him what a great father he is to your children....make him remember that the true gifts he has for Fathers Day are the kids

make him breakfast and a card. if you can run to the dollar store, grab a cute box or something and some paint and paint their hands and stamp it on the box. it's cheap, and cute. and it's like a keepsake because over time you can say "aww. their hands were so little!"
when i was a kid, we were pretty poor so we always made him something with my mom.
once we took an ovaltine can and glued construction paper around it and glued pictures of us as a collage around that. it was really cute and my dad still has it and keeps his pens in it.
