Sean,
I don't think you should care. If you are living a life with kindness and fairness, even then some people won't like you. I am a Christian, I don't think I'm religious; I don't base my like or dislike of someone on their religious beliefs. How they live and act towards others and themselves for that matter says alot. Since you are an atheist I don't think I could have a really strong friendship with you since I believe that we were created for a purpose, that is to worship our creator and to love one another. I would pray that you would search out the meaning of life and do some soul searching and be open minded to spiritual things. You are probably a really great person and I wish you all the best!

If I met you Sean how would I know about your personal life or beliefs? I know many people, most I don't have a clue what their
religion is or isn't. I don't choose my friends by conducting an interview with them regarding their personal life.
Don't start social contacts by making an announcement that your
an atheist. I'm a R. Catholic; I will base our friendship on if your
friendly, interesting to talk with, mutual hobbies etc.

You should be able to have friends that you "like" even if you don't share their religious beliefs.
You should care if your friends like you, regardless of what they do not have in common with you, religion or otherwise.
This is an odd question, kind of self-contradictory: If you truly did not care, which seems implicit, you would not bother to ask the question.

There is no correct answer to that question. There is no reason that you should care or should not care, it's your personal choice to care or not. I'm religious and if you have a likable personality without offending me, then I will like you and it is your choice if you care or not.

I never met a religious person that didn't care....but hey, here they say they don't. I'm confused.
I like when they do hate me. Then I say something like: Jesus would never turn away a sinner. But you may not like this as they tend to stay around.

I agree with you, you shouldn't care. Being a profound atheist, I could care less about you also.
You are 100% correct.

You shouldn't. I am religious and don't care if you like me. I do care if God likes you and you should too.

It's not a matter of if they like you or not, they should love you with the love of God. God loves everybody whether they believe in Him or not. He may not agree with their beliefs or lifestyles but nevertheless He still loves them and desires a relationship with them through His Son, Jesus Christ.
