My kid received a present from the USA - the handsets work with each other, but not with any UK models, so you would make someone very happy with a solution. I can do basic soldering, but not micro work. Alternatively, a reference to anyone who could do the modification would be much appreciated. Thanks.

That's a daft question, they are set on a frequency to talk to each other, it's not UK or US spec... You can re crystal to another frequency but it's hardly worth the work involved... most work on around 46 MHz but some still use the old 27 MHz, if you want to convert from 27 to 46 forget it, you'll need to re-tune or replace all the coils and tuned circuits...

They arn't very expensive, buy some more from Maplin...
