A rabbit or squirrel recipe should work. If it is an old cat you will want to cook it in a crock pot or pressure cooker. Otherwise you could fry it. If the cat is stressed when you kill it it probably will be tough, so you will need to age the meat. An overnight soak in salt water should do it. Have fun.

The problem with the citrus and pepper ideas is you can't really coat the yard in it and might attract more pests (like flys). Humane traps are fine unless its someone else's pet.
The cats consider your yard part of their territory. Figure out what is attractive about your yard and remove it. Strays often times hunt for bugs for eat out of the trash in back yards. They may just consider it a safe place to hang out in which case a large dog would certainly do the trick.

YOU HAD BETTER BE JOKING. Let me put it this way, how would you like it if some one put a huge trap by their yard and you walk over there and it cut your foot off or your head. And, why don't you cook yourself? there's a recipe book called "The Idiots guide to cooking idiots" that book is purrrrrrr-fect for you. Animals are just like humans. You might as well put out a trap for your best friends, or cook your cousin.

No recipe, but you can spray hot pepper around your yard. Cats don't like the smell and it may help to keep them away.

Put moth balls around the perimeter of your yard and they will go elsewhere. If you want a recipe, ask the Chinese!

You've been reported. People who can be cruel to other living creatures have stone, cold hearts. Learn a little compassion. It'll get you into Heaven.
