Always put them to sleep on their backs
Use an appropriate car seat in the back seat of the vehicle on every trip and make sure it is used correctly by having an inspection with a certified child passenger safety technician.
Remove all fluffy stuff from the infants crib/bassinet

Children should never be left alone while eating as chocking is quite common.
Always use wrist straps or reins when letting your child walk. They can so easily run into a busy road.
Teach your child the dangers of talking to strangers, but try not to frighten them. Not everybody in the world is bad, but they need to understand that people they don't know can be.
Never leave a child unattended in a bath. It can take a matter of seconds for a child to drown.
Put all dangerous substances i.e. bleach and medicines, out of reach of children or put locks on the cupboards that they are in.
Don't pin dummies (pacifiers) onto clothing with ribbon or string as they can easily become tangled around the child's neck.

All of the above, and one that no one else remembered, Never leave a baby unattended in the bathtub or swimming pool. It only takes 2 inches of water for an infant to drown.

Make sure they sleep on their backs.
Make sure they are sleeping on something firm.
Make sure they do not have any heavy blankets on them.
Make sure their car seat is secure in the car.
Make sure they are getting lots of love!
Make sure there are no things around them that could suffocate them!
