I guess depending which part and the time, Ping's at Mott street, between Pell st. and Bowery st. is quite good. Their head chef makes really good dumplings from Hong Kong... there is this place called Dim Sum go go which serve Dim Sum til much later during the day...unlike most places. I also think the Ocean Pearl in Flushing Queens is wonderful...located across the Flushing mall by Prince street. There is a nice home style place in Brooklyn 18 avenue & 62st....they serve some unique dim sum....

sadly the best place closed not long after Chinese New Year. it was a little no-name place next to Wo-Hop, basically across the street from Mr Ping's.

Mr. Ping's on Mott street is probably now the best.

the dim sum is definitely the best on Sunday when the Chinese American crowd is at the highest.

Golden Unicorn on Broadway or Ping's on Mott
HSF on Bowery is also quite good

Hop Shing - Chatham Square is an awesome place to try in the morning. Their coffee is actually pretty good and they have amazing egg custard tarts.

In Chinatown obviously, I know one on Mott st., called Ping. Oh, if you ever go there, don't forget to try the fried bun/bread thing served with sweet condensed milk. U won't regret it :)
