Small pieces of banana, overcooked broccoli mashed, same with carrot, any fruit, veggie that you can puree. you can also start introducing cinnamon with applesauce.
Good luck!

Feeding the 8 Month-Old - Baby Food Safety
Now that your baby is 8 months old and may have some teeth, you can give him some table foods that are mashed with a fork in addition to pureed foods. Mashed foods are a little thicker and coarser than pureed foods.
Mash a favorite vegetable or meat with a fork. Use a potato masher for foods like bananas, cooked apples, winter squash, white or sweet potatoes, and carrots. Try yogurt, cottage cheese, tofu, or cooked egg yolks. Make sure the food has no big lumps, pieces of skin, seeds or strings.
Consider These Baby Food Safety Tips:
Don't add salt, sugar or seasoning to baby foods. Foods that taste bland to an adult are new taste experiences to babies. And, there is enough natural sodium in foods to keep baby healthy.
Don't give honey or corn syrup to a baby less than 1 year old. They may carry botulism spores that can make babies sick.
Don't make baby foods out of leftovers--they are less nourishing and may be contaminated. Use only fresh or frozen food.
Raw eggs and unpasteurized, or raw milk are not safe for babies; they can cause infections.
Don't give you baby chunky foods such as corn, nuts, popcorn, seeds, or coarse-textured foods such as crumbly cookies. These foods are hard for a baby to eat and can cause choking. Grapes and round pieces of hot dog are especially dangerous.
It's OK to serve foods cold. Most babies don't mind. If you want to warm baby food, do it just before serving.

My son likes stuff like really cooked peas. Depends on how well your child is able to feed herself that I would do this.
Bananas cut up are always good. Yes they become a little messy trying to pick it up but it's sooooo cute.
My son has been eating cherrios for a while now. But like with the peas I don't know how well your child can eat yet.

WHAT DID BABIES IEAT BEFORE THEY MADE BABY FOOD. SO WHAT I ATE MY KIDS AT. OF COURSE I CHEWED IT FIRST. OR MASHED IT. DIDN'T HAVE ONE OF T HOSE FANSY GAGETS.. I BABY SIT SMALL CHILDREN ONCE IN AWHILE AND HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS I GIVE THEM. HOT DOGS I REMOVE THE SKIN
SWEET PEAS, MASHED BOILED POTATOES, SCRAMBLE EGGS THERE ARE ALOT OF THING YOUR LITTLE GIRL CAN EAT. BUT I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM SHELL FISH UNTIL SHE IS OLDER. I WATCH A ONE YEAR OLD AND I HAD SOME FROSTED MINI WHEAT FOR BREAKFAST AND SHE CRIED TO HAVE SOME. SHE ATE MORE THAN ME. OF COURSE I HAD TO LET THEM SOAK IN MILK , THEY BECAME SOFT AND THE FIBER WAS GOOD FOR HER. :) GOOD LUCK

Basically, as long as she isn't allergic to it and you cut it small enough or soften it a little, there shouldn't be a problem with giving her any type of food. I've heard of babies eating food topped with Tabasco sauce (I'm not recommending it). The sky's the limit.

I always gave my children mash potatoes at 8 months old, it is very soft and smoothing to their throat, if you dont like to use real potatoes because of the lumps try instant mash potatoes

I would talk to your pediatrician before giving her anything. But I give my son a little of what the rest of the family is getting.
