Love of Truth...Thank you for your in-depth answer. I couldn't have said it better myself...

And to Danielle La Flor's. Maybe you should be taking better care of your 18 month old who is hitting you rather than to sit behind a computer making up lies about the Bible. Noah didn't have any daughters, only sons. His sons all had wives who where on the ark and escaped the flood. Genesis 9:9 "So God Blesses Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth."

Though you are right that Noah did get drunk after the great flood, but sadly to your quote...he just passed out naked & two of his sons covered his nakedness.

After Cain killed Able, Adam and Eve had another son named Seth. After that, the Bible said that they had "other sons and daughters" (Genesis 5:4). It would have been these other siblings that Cain and Seth mated with.

Your theory on why that wasn't incestual is as good as mine. I'd heard it was something to the effect that Adam and Eve were created with all human types and that as they gave birth and their children did, and so on, the types broke down into the different genetic characteristics and bloodtypes that we have today, until a point where they stabilised. At that point, incest became a problem with the mixing (or, rather, not mixing) of types.

That's just a theory someone told me, though. Do with it what you will. The direct answer to your question is simply that Cain and Able weren't the only children Adam and Eve had.

Adam and Eve had sons and daughters(Genesis 5:4) Only three sons are mentioned though and they were Cain,Abel and Seth.
Where, then, did Cain get his wife? It was obviously from among his own family. His wife was one of his fleshly sisters, a daughter of Adam and Eve.“But such a union is incest!” some may object,It must be remembered, however, that circumstances were different in earlier times. Adam and Eve were created perfect, and the instruction for them ‘to multiply and fill the earth’ would necessarily require that their offspring marry one another and reproduce. (Gen. 1:28) But as perfect humans, their children would have been perfect as were their parents.
Even though Adam and Eve sinned and became imperfect, Cain and his brothers and sisters were still so near to physical perfection that the children they produced did not suffer the same adverse effects as do children born of such unions today. Even some 2,000 years afterward, God’s faithful servant Abraham married his half-sister Sarah, and God did not disapprove. (Gen. 20:12) It was yet another 450 years or so before God saw fit to provide his nation of Israel a body of laws that forbade incest on penalty of death. (Lev. 18:8-17) By that time imperfection had apparently developed to such an extent that no longer was it safe for close relatives to marry.
So, really, the question of where Cain got his wife is not a difficult one. The answer is provided right within the Bible, and it becomes obvious when the Bible account is read carefully.

Though the bible records Adam and Eve to be the first people God created, that does not mean that they were the only 2 people God created. Adam was the first man and Eve the first woman. After that God probably created John and Beth, Rick and Susan etc... So that being said, Cain and Abel may have just been lucky enough to date their neighbors daughters.

First, Adam and Eve had more children than Cain and Abel, starting with the third, Seth.
The story is not mean to answer your question but to show that God created people and he created them good. That sin came from people's free will.
Asking questions of teaching stories that they did not intend to answer will never get you answers. How come Cinderella's glass slipper didn't break when she walked?

Adam and Eve werent the first MAN or WOMAN.....Adam means Men......there were other people in other cities in the beginning of Genisis..when Cain was booted..he left and created his own city Enoch and started a family with others. Also Angels came down from heaven and also procreated with the humans.

It's a long, sordid story of incest and brotherly love on a level unprecedented in modern times.

Seriously, Adam and Eve supposedly had other children. Many, many, many children. Loads of kids. Apparently they were Mormon.

I bet she hated Adam for that baby-pushing and breastfeeding.

Anyhoo... I'm sure (if the story were real), incest is involved in there somewhere.

A recent study indicated that you would need approximately 150 different couples to sucessfully populate without in-breeding.

Now, calculate 9 months for every birth; factor in 150 different children for population; and I'll give a big, geeky prize for the nerd who figures out how old Eve was when she got her tubes tied!!!

Stick that in your bible and smoke it.

Eve actually had a gangbang with Cain and Able while Adam choked the monkey...

And then Cain and Able turned on the sheep they were tending , and out came your ancestors.
