Depends on the 17 yr old and the other person in the relationship. I got married at 16 and in my forties still married to the same man and just as crazy about him now as I was the day we married. More so actually

yes 17 is toooo young to be in a long term relationship, because you are still a kid. I'm 30 years old and I was in your situation at your age and all it did was give me heart ache. live life to the fullest and never look back. just remember learn from your mistakes, don't keep making them over and over again.

Absolutely. When you are in your teens and early twenties, it's all about experimentation. Going out with many people to find out exactly what you like and/or need. If you settle into a long-term relationship when you are young, you are shorting yourself of the opportunity to "taste many flavors of ice cream" before you settle down to "one flavor". If after you've tasted the rainbow, you find that you still like "vanilla" best, then at least you'll never look back when you are 35 saying, "I wonder what my life had been like if I had gone out with...."

You betcha...If your relationship becomes long term, you will be the first in the history of mankind, barring arrainged marriages, to do so at the age of 17. Its inevitable. But good luck...hey miracles do happen...just not at 17 in relationships

Yes, I think it is. You have to know yourself first, and 17 is too young to really know what you want in a partner. Work on yourself at your young age. You have the rest of your life to work on relationships.

Personal experience, yes! But sometimes people actually find their "one" early in life. At that age, I just wanted finish high school, go to college, get my career going, and then look for that special someone. But lots of my friends ended up following their hearts. Some times your heart knows best. Just follow your heart.

You can be on one no problem with that. But you are only seventeen, and you have your whole life ahead of you still. Just enjoy your life a day at a time for that is all we have really for tomorrow is promised to know one. So enjoy your life to the fullest by living a day at a time..

definitely. the only people that will tell you that it isnt are people under 25. Anyone with a little maturity in life will tell you that you have no clue what you want or need when you are 17, unless you are just realy mature for your age.
