I know this dude.. One minute he is fine, but the next, the least littlest thing sets him OFF. He clams up, and pouts. This happens at least 15-20 times a day. I have asked him what is wrong? He says that he does not know? But he just gets agravated. People who know him, think he is always upset with them. Could this be Bi-Polar? Or what do you think? He is in his fourties.

It is difficult to answer this question without interviewing the individual. On line diagnosis is dicey at best.

Bi-polar is a possibility. But it's also likely that he just needs to learn some anger management techniques. It sounds like he may have a lot of stress in his life without a successful way to handle it. Maybe he should try some relaxation. He may not be open to some suggestions, but then again, maybe he's just waiting for the one that makes the most sense to him.

Well.... My sister is bi-polar. She was diagnosed about 5 years ago. This could be Bi-Polar... yes! I would have "Dude" talk to a pychitris or a counselor. Let me know what happens sadisticweibchen@aol.com

HE has issues.

Maybe he is not in touch with what is going on inside or really does not want to share it.

Maybe he is going through some hormone stuff.

Passive-aggressive...past issues he hasn't dealt with...or a present issue he needs to deal with. He doesn't sound manic, because people who are manic have extreme highs and lows...doesn't sound like he has any highs. He should talk to a professional....
