I can't go into much detail, it would take all day. Here is my short list: [1]Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand, a story about a man who said he would stop the motor of the world, and did. [2] The Book of Five Rings, by Miamoto Musashi, it is a manual for victory, like Sun Tsu's Art of War, but more personal. [3] The Book of New Sun, by Gene Wolfe, a magnificently written heroic epic that takes place on Earth (or Urth), billions of years in the future. This may be the "best" book. [4] Time Enough for Love, by Robert Anson Heinlein, the life and times of the oldest man in the Universe (over 2000 yrs old). [5] The Dark Tower, by Steven King, the story of Roland the Gunslinger, one of the most badass literary characters of all time.

I enjoy a little of everything. Books: The Hobbit and The Lord of The Ring Trilogy, Harry Potter, Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, etc. Authors: Erma Bombeck, Tom Clancy, David Eddings, John Grisham, and more. OK, not everything. I hate the modern romance novels.

I read a book about every two weeks. I'll read anything but I tend to enjoy historical fiction the best. My all time favorite is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
