Standard answer is 1-2 weeks for the mono to not be contagious. But you really should consult a doc regarding acceptable contact untill the mono has completely passed

6 months. Mono can persist for long periods of time.

I woudl ask your doctor, you definityl wouldnt want to pass mono onto a person with HIV

Never give your virus to a person with HIV! They could easily die from it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have Mono, take all your prescribed medication, get a checkup(tests) and get clearance before you go see your friend. Stay safe and keep others safe!
