When I was 2-1/2, my parents got me into the 1966 Buick Wildcat (Buick Blue) and we drove to see Mr. And Mrs. Red Funderburg in Sayre, Oklahoma. My tricycle was in the trunk (standard red). We arrived and I went out with their children. I decided to take my tricycle on top of the tornado cellar as it was flat cement. To get there, I had to push it up the tin, slanted cellar door. All was well. I went all over the top of it. However, on the way back down I fell and slashed my head where my left eyebrow is. With this head wound, blood was everywhere and the kids were screaming. I was crying. My Bid Dad came to get me and swopped me up in those big arms. Back in the Buick and on to the Elk City Hospital in nearby Elk City, Oklahoma. I was terrified on the gurney and it got worse when the doc came with black silk and a needle. It took just about all of them to hold me down. Back in the day, it was postulated that children did not feel pain the same way adults do. Hence, I had no anesthetic at all and I was held down while my head was sown. Thankfully, by 1972 or so, the medical community quit doing these things as well as operations on children with no anesthetic application.

When I was little girl living in New York in the late 60,s My family decided to drive to my father's family in Mississippi. Anyway while on the road ther was a very bad thunder storm I think while passing thru North Carolina late at night well the car was struck and my family was tumbling over and over. Nobody died but we did get alot of glass embedded in our bodies but the strange ending to this story is that the people who came to help where the KKK they took us to a service station .

My Mother and I were in a moving van and we hit a tree. I flew forward and hit my mouth. I learned later in life that I had broken my jaw. There was also the time we were having my favorite, Spanish Rice, for supper. I carried it outside to my swing set, wrapped my arms around the chains and sat down on the swing. I sat back too far on the seat and it flipped, sending my HOT! Spanish Rice into my face.

i fell on a piece of farm equipment and had a harrow go through my leg. I only spent one night in the hospital, though. They had to surgically remove it from me and I lived out of town so I had to have it cut off the machinery and ride the ambulance with this thing in my leg. It had just missed my major bone and my major artery by milimeters which means that i could have either been paralyzed or have bled to death. I think I was 13.

Yes, I fell off a Trampolene and Broke my arm. Only I didn't realize right away that I had broken my arm and tried to get back on the trampolene. When I couldn't get back on the trampolene that's when I realized something was wrong and ran screaming down the street back home (I was at a neighbors house).

I was in 2nd grade, and I was on the monkey bars. These guys were playing too much and chicken fighting, and they made me fall. I broke my wrist really bad, and they had to set it b4 they could put a cast on it. That was the most painful thing I can remember ever going thru!!!

I was six and we were living in Ohio. We had been swimming and we decided we wanted the radio on. I got out off the pool and went to unplug something to plug the radio up. Unfortunately, I hadn't known that water and electricity don't mix. It shocked me so bad, it knocked me out. I woke up in the hospital with all these machines hooked up to me.
