hi! Veal is a calf (baby cow)that has been kept in a very small enclosure so that it cannot move at all .Because of this, veal is a very tender meat and VERY expensive. If you are considering trying it at home, let me remind you that there are many ways to cook a good, thick, juicy cut of beef and get the tenderness of veal at a fraction of the price. It is okay though, to have it once in a while to,say, impress the big boss, but just don't have it every day.~~11YEAROLDhorseguru

It is considered as Red Meat. More fatty than regular red meat and not intended to eat is as bloody as a regular steak... Try Veal T-bones and Veal Chops.

Veal is baby cow. The way it's produced is horrible. They tie up baby cows so that they can't move in order for there muscles to remain underdeveloped and thus produce very tender meat. I think that's terribly cruel.

young beef, when beef's metabolism starts to produce B vitamins the meat turns red, rather than the whitish gray There have been ranchers prosecuted for controlling the diet to avoid production of B vitamins, it can be controlled through the beef's diet, for veal pays more than beef.

Baby lamb meat, they are never allowed to walk on their own two legs. They keep them in harnesses up off the floor so their feet cant touch. They do this so that their meat is very tender because of such little muscle mass they generate. It's pretty sick to think about.
