Why are the guys so damn shy? Every Boyfriend I have ever had, or guy that I have kissed/been on a date with, I have gone up to them... Why don't guys ever come up to me? I'm not horribly ugly... so what's the deal? And everytime I go up to the guy, he wants to hang out or whatever with me too... I just don't get it??

Thank you for your compliments, but common now... it must be nice when a guy comes up to you... I'm not so confident in myself as you all think.. I just have nothing to loose. I just with I had a guy or two let me know before I let them know that they are attracted to me. Ya know?

So far, I'll agree with everyone else. Guys are completely stopped dead in their tracks by the fear of rejection. Why? Because of the fragile male ego.
And if most guys are like me, they have been burned so many times that they've decided to take the "if she wants me, she knows where to find me" attitude.
If we were to meet, however, I'd feel more comfortable coming up to talk to you if you had your son with you. Being a single, divorced parent myself we would have common ground to start a conversation.

Guys are not shy but scared of rejection. Girls being fairer sex always give inferiority complex to boys and most of the boys who are less attractive by face fear rejection. Few good looking men have hundreds and majority non- good looking men have none. Including me (36).

well that shows your totally secure about youself, and you should feel proud about that. You also have to remember that when a guy sees a girl and she happens to be attractive or just cute, theyll hesitate to approach her, simply because they don want to be rejected, They see her as to good for them. that could be your case, so all I can say is next time you approach a guy and he ends up going out with you, then ask him this same question.

It's just the way a lot of guys are. And then you hear the guys who are alone whine because they are alone. They are suppose to be the ones making the first move, but it seems like it's mostly us having to do that lately

actually you are drop dead gorgoeus and so is your child!
really simple - guys are often really shy despte their bravado and incredibly frightened of rejection particularly from a really attractive woman
it sounds to me though as if you have already sorted your problem - you are bold enough to make the first move - so just keep doing that!!!

it may be because they are shy or afraid they dont have a chance with you. So it they won't eve try to approach you. Its not you...you just have a lot of confidence in yourself.
