Sometimes words are hard to find..but I would suggest if she is able hear you to let her/him know what they meant to you (as a co-worker and friend) It is always nice to hear the shared stories and interests that you may have shared. This will help you with closure and make her few days left special.

How about: "I love you....We all love you and we will all miss you....See you on the other side shortly, and you will never be forgotten.... Your presence here on earth has been very delightful and it would not have been the same without your contributions that you have made here." I really don't know. I have never had to do this but once and I didn't know what to say then either but something will come to mind while you are visiting her. (smile)

You dont have to say anything right away in your visit, bring lotion to rub on her hands, bring a book you know she might like to read to her. bring her a rosary, if she has her hair, bring a brush. Comfort means alot to a dying person. Even if you feel funny doing these things, she will die with you held with love in her heart.

Tell her she is missed terribly and they will never be able to replace her, and it has been an Honor to work with her, and she taught you so much. It's her turn for all the tender loving care to be lavished on her.

Be genuine bring up memories that you both share and try to make her laugh!!
