My daughter has the same problem now and again. It's usually how I know she's coming down with something.

I just make sure she goes to the bathroom right before bed, even when she says she doesn't have to. When I go check on her right before I go to sleep, if she stirs I'll get her up and take her to the potty. If you're worried, you could have her pediatrician check for infection. I had that done at one point because it just came out of nowhere, but she's fine. Not making a big deal out of it is the right thing to do. I just have my daughter help me strip the bed, and we put it all in the wash. Good luck!

Talk to her pediatrician. This could be a bladder problem.Sometimes there bladders aren't as big as everything else.If you altready have cut out the late nite drinks, either her bladder could be the culprit, or she may be emotionally upset. I have had two kids with a bed wetting(at this age)problem. My doctor had even told me the problem could be hereditary.I had a bed wetting problem til I was 12.I don't make a big deal about it(cleaning the sheets, etc.) and this does help her.Maybe, just until you talk to the dr.) you could get her some overnites(which are like pullups for kids who have this problem)at the store. They have them in the baby isle(w/diapers and pullups.)This will kepp her from feeling bad and help you from feeling frustrated from cleaning. But you REALLY need to talk to her dr too.Explain the situation and I am sure her dr. will handle it.Good luck and stay calm.Frustrating yourself won't help either of you.

i had a child that did the same thing it ran in the family, first i took her to the doctor and we tried alarms, pills and other things, but the best thing that worked was pull ups for bigger kids until she was 13 and out-grew it . it's nothing to worry about i would just take her wet sheets off in the morning and put clean ones on, you can get plastic covering for the mattress. just don't make a big deal out of it, it's not her fault she can't help it. you are doing the best that you can do. just give her body time to grow.
so my best advise is to buy more sheets for her bed
and make sure there is nothing physically wrong with her body first by seeing a doctor
good luck with the training.

Have you tried talking to your family doctor? You might start there to see if she has a urinary tract infection. If you can't take the wet sheets try using a pull up just at night. She may not like the idea but at least you won't be cleaning the sheets and bedding all the time and she will stay drier.

she does not have over active blader, that guy is stupid. the thing is that she is just having problems right now, millions of kids have this problem and 89% of them out grow it before age 10. 95% by age 13 and 99.9 % by 18. it is some thing she will out grow and not some thing to wory about. i know i have siblings and went through it my self. what i would tell you to do is get her the new pullups for night time, they have a liner that gets cold when the child wets and wakes them up, it works very well. never punsh her for it, she can not help it at all and it probably is very frustrating to her aswell. go to goodnites.com for more info, but just be there to suport her and try to understand what she is going through right now.

Kids bodies are not like adults - sometimes, they actually can't help it. As she grows up her muscles will mature and this should stop naturally.
Another item that may be of interest - is that kids react to their environment too. Are you going through a divorce? Job change? Sometimes things like this can impact a child and often the most noted problem is a sudden start to bed wetting.

This may not be the answer you are looking for. My first son's bed wet until he was close to 9 (he had to wear the giant pampers). We did what you did about water consumption. We never made a big issue of it. We figured that he will be ready at his own time. My second son did not use pampers at age 4. That was his time. Don't make a big issue of it.

make sure she is warm at night time my twins were doing the same thing we found out they were cold in the middle of the night and that was what made them go, we even went as far as to put garbage bags under the bed sheets so the matress would not stink. but I would also consult a doctor and see what they may think.

My son is also 6 and still has accidents @ nite. I did too, when I was 8 my parents took me to the dr. and found that my bladder is way to small. I had a simple surgery and I never did again. Sometimes it can also be stress and nerves have the dr. run some tests.
