Baby powder is such a great way to keep your knee pads smelling better than sweat. The key though is as soon as you are done playing, take them off, flip them inside out, sprinkle them with baby powder or febreeze and put them over an air vent- just keep them outside of warm, dark areas- like your gym bag. If you need to put it into your bag, be sure to put them in the part of the bag that has mesh - if not, put in a fabric softener. Not only will the baby powder help your smelly knee pads, it will help keep the chaffing on the back of your knees down.

I use baby powder too. Also if it smells bad, I will flip them inside out and place it for hours in an air circulated place to let smell go (such as a patio)

If you wash them and then pour Arm and Hammer baking soda on them they will not smell. I used to do that on my football pads.

Yes, sprinkle them with a little bit of baby powder, that will keep your knees dry and mask any odor. You can also use any scented powder

Stuff a dryer sheet in with them when you store them - it will help keep the smell down.

Place a dryer sheet in each one or a couple into the gym bag might help.

when you wash them, soak them in bleach for like an hour. Also after practice if you can, keep your bag open so that air can get into it.

baking soda works pretty good but why not give them a wash when they start to stink the place up.

I wear long socks on my calves and it goes underneath your knee pad and it doesn't get gross. It works.
