Why are so many leaving Islam ?

Question

Just today, I decide after much thought to leave Islam and convert to Hinduism. I associate other gods with Allah.

Why is it so many of us leave Islam, the deen of dogs ?

I don't think that the number of people leaving Islam has necessarily risen. It's just that there is a lot of attention on that religion now due to current events so people are paying more attention to it. It's the same reason why each year there in the news there seems to be a lot of the same thing happening. For example, this past spring, it seems like there have been a lot more attacks on people by sharks and alligators... that doesn't necessarily mean that there have been more incidents, just that the news is focusing a lot more on it. Islam is in the international spotlight right now, whether for good or for bad reasons, and people are paying attention to everything surrounding it.

I do not know of a single person who has converted from Islam to Hinduism. Honestly. How can you?

One is below what one worships, I am sure you would agree with that. How can some one who has gotten used to worshipping the ALMIGHTY ONE, would start worshipping creatures of the LORD ALMIGHTY? unless he wants to be less than these creatures. You are always less than your gods... so, if you are now worshipping lesser beings than human beings, I honestly pity you.

BUT, I sincerely think you were never a Muslim, nor you have a clear idea of what Islam is all about. You judge Islam by what some of the evil joes in our faith do and you do not know ISLAM.

So, in my view you are not being honest, and if you were a Muslim you would have more integrity and honesty than you are displaying. BUT that is what happens to lesser people... sowwy.

I don't think that it is a matter of people just leaving Islam; it is a matter of all peoples abandoning religion. Friedrich Nietzsche’s famous Quote “God is dead, and we killed him” isn’t just about the classic Christian religions, but for all. The release of the old ways of moral thought and the creation of morals totally based human nature is going to cause much confusion in those that must look at their traditional religious and question the values that it really teaches.

I, myself, find comfort in the study of Eastern religions for they seem, to me, less about worship and more of a better way to live life. Others, in my circle friends, have gone to the ancient Celtic ways for new ways of understanding.

Alot of muslims are confused about what they have been taught from childhood. Some of the events that are going on in today's world are forcing them to reconsider what they truly believe in. For instance, muslims say that allah is a god of peace, but muslim terrorists are killing not only americans but muslims as well. In addition, there seems to be mass confusion in the muslim world. They seem to be divided on different political issues (Saudi Arabia for example). When your world gets turned upside down, that is the time you find out if what you believe in is true. If your God is God then He will come to your aide. But if your God can not help you when trouble breaks out, then I have to examine what am I doing wrong or why has God not helped me. However, I can not say that this something that is excluded to only muslims, but Christians as well. It seems that everyones's beliefs are being tested by fire to see if it is pure.

the bad reflection from the media has made a bunch religions look bad so ppl are converting hinduism and bhuddism have not been hurt by the media so ppl are starting to choose those religions
