Buy a cook book for starters... go to your book store and look until you find one that contains easy recipes that look like foods that you would like to eat... it will have a section at the front that contains a glossary of all of the terms used in the recipes inside. Choose something that looks easy and tasty... cooking is an art that takes a while to get good at...lol But, you have to start somewhere... bon apetit'

There is no easy or fast way to learn to cook. Learning how to cook requires time, trial and error, patience and practice.
Some have a natural talent with cooking, some cook as a hobby, others go to school.
If your question is leaning towards cooking at home for your family, then get cook books, watch the food network.
If you are wanting to do it as a profession, then you need to go to culinary arts school, or at least learn by watching and doing under an accredited chef.

Watch the Food Network - seriously!
I've been watching it for about two years now and know about every trick you can think of. It won't even take you a year to learn what you need to!
Every cook on the food network has tips that they share with you. Just watch and listen.

search for recipes online. Get Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals book. Start by boiling water, and then add rice. Make a salad too.

Watch the food network, watch people you know cook, ask them if you can help. Read how to books....just experiment with different things.
