If you fart in public do you say "excuse me" or just ignore it like it never happened?

I try to take out as many unsuspecting people as i can. The SBDs are great for that.
My favourite thing to do is go to a government office building at lunchtime, and wait on the top floor until 1 PM. Then i take the elevator down to the lobby. It is almost always empty, and almost never stops at any other floors along the way. Just as the elevator is coming to a stop, i drop a heavy-duty neutron bomb. Then i get out and let the waiting cluster of people get on, i walk away a bit, and then i turn around and watch their reactions. Which are usually not especially positive. Then i go on my way, satisfied with a job well done.

Depends. If you are in like a restaurant in public and you fart, then it would be proper to say "Excuse me" instead of acting like nothing happened. If it is out in the open in public, I'd act like nothing happened because saying: "Excuse me" would draw attention to the embarrassing mishap.

It really depends on how loud and distinct the noise was and the smell. Can you blame it on someone else in proximity (maybe the dog)? Can you say the noise was from a different source (your trick knee is giving you problems)? If it was a SBD and you're in a car, you could comment on the skunks in the area...
Or, if you're around total strangers, you could just own up to it and proudly declare that you had Taco Bell for lunch...throw your hands in the air and yell "I'm FULLLLL!"

I would acknowledge it and say "excuse me" while my face burnt fire engine red with embarassment and I wanted to shoot myself! LOL! I'm a waiter and have often wondered how I would deal if I farted infront of one of my tables. Actually, come to think of it, I farted REAL loud on accident infront of a guest when I was a host. I was laughing at what someone said and I guess I lost control of my gas and I busted *** ALL over that restaurant! LMAO!

It depends where you are and who is with you. If you are out in the open air (excuse the pun) and no one can hear/smell it then there is no reason.
If you are having dinner with the Queen of England, I'd say 'excuse me'.

If I am with friends...I laugh
If I am with strangers... I ignore it
If I am with like work people...I say excuse me
If I am with the boy toy...I make a funny embarrassed face

If it's obvious, you excuse yourself. If you can play it off and get away with it, you could go that route, too. If it's ridiculously loud and smells like rotten eggs, you may as well just laugh it up with everyone else. ;)

blast it right next to some one and walk away.if you do this right you will have enough time to get to another place in public to see the unknowing person sniff........or.......if you fart and peeps can hear it,own it and be polite.
